Blake Lively’s Sister Robyn Is Thriving in Taylor Sheridan’s Universe

Blake Lively has been making headlines for months thanks to her ongoing controversy with Justin Baldoni and the production of “It Ends With Us.” The actress has been facing serious scrutiny amid the legal chaos, and this has many fans wondering what her next career move will be. Could her half-sister, Robyn Lively, be the lifeline that she needs?

Blake Lively’s Big Sister Was an ’80s Child Star

Blake has been a Hollywood fixture for two decades after her breakthrough role in 2005’s “The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants” and her star-making turn as Serena van der Woodsen in “Gossip Girl.” At the same time, her half-sister Robyn has built her own solid career as an actor.

80s kids and 90s teens are extremely familiar with Robyn, thanks to her roles in “The Karate Kid Part III,” “Teen Witch,” and the Disney movie “Not Quite Human.” She also appeared on television in series like “Silver Spoons,” “Punky Brewster,” “21 Jump Street,” “Parker Lewis Can’t Lose,” “Doogie Howser,” and “Twin Peaks.” She was such a popular kids star in the 80s and 90s that she showed up in an ABC After School Special.

The Connection to Taylor Sheridan’s ‘Landman’

Robyn has been a working actress since the early 80s when she was just 10 years old, and she’s never stopped. Her list of TV and movie credits is long, including an appearance in “It Ends With Us” with her younger sister.

Recently, Robyn has been working with powerhouse producer Taylor Sheridan, creator of the “Yellowstone’ universe. She appeared as Senator Amanda Albright in season 2 of the espionage thriller “Special Ops: Lioness” alongside Zoe Saldaña, Nicole Kidman, and Morgan Freeman.

Robyn was also part of Sheridan’s Texas-based drama “Landman,” which features a cast that includes Billy Bob Thornton, Demi Moore, and Jon Hamm. Robyn played the role of Elle in two episodes, making it clear that she has clicked with Sheridan. Once an actor becomes part of the Sheridan-verse, the franchise becomes a regular source of consistent work.

Robyn’s connection with Sheridan actually goes back farther than the massive TV universe that he created. Both appeared in guest roles on “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation” and “CSI: NY.”

Could Taylor Sheridan Cast Blake Lively in a Future Project?

Sheridan has a reputation for casting strong women, and it doesn’t seem to matter if they cause controversy. He likes to write complex, gritty roles for his female leads, and often looks to the biggest names in Hollywood to fill those roles.

Considering Robyn’s connection to Sheridan, could that prompt Blake to work with the writer/director on a future project? A cameo or even a starring role is not out of the question. And a role in the Sheridan-verse could be exactly what Blake needs to get back to work and distance herself from the Baldoni drama. Fans will have to wait and see what’s next for Blake’s career. In the meantime, she is scheduled to sit for a deposition in mid-July in her lawsuit against Baldoni for alleged sexual harassment.
