“My Big Fat Fabulous Life” star Whitney Way Thore is celebrating a joyous family milestone, introducing the “newest member” of her clan: her niece’s newborn baby.

In an endearing Instagram post, Thore shared a series of sweet photos showcasing the little one being cradled and adored, calling attention to the newest bundle of joy bringing extra love into her world. 

“Meet the newest member of the family 🥹 @jaimeleighhh_ made me a great aunt again and we love Walker so much!” she wrote in the sweet Saturday, Aug. 23 post.

Thore’s Current Journey to Motherhood

While Thore is basking in her role as proud aunt, she’s also continuing her own highly personal path toward becoming a parent.

In the latest season of her TLC reality show, the 41-year-old has been candid about her efforts to conceive through artificial insemination.

Earlier this summer, cameras followed as Thore underwent a medical procedure known as a womb wash before beginning the insemination process.

She described the decision as “the most intentional act” of her life, noting the emotional weight and determination behind each step.

The series has chronicled her thoughtful search for a sperm donor as well, with Thore opening up about balancing medical realities, emotional vulnerability, and her long-held dream of motherhood.

The reality TV star detailed what she was looking for while selecting a sperm donor.

“My criteria for a donor, I feel like, is pretty straightforward and simple,” she told viewers. “I absolutely do not care what color this child is, what color the eyes are, the hair is. Obviously, I want the person to be healthy with no genetic diseases.”

The episode from Season 13 later showed her browsing through the sperm database with her friends, as she filtered by numerous categories.
