Conjoined Twins Abby and Brittany Hensel Seen With New Baby Carrier in Rare Outing

Conjoined twins Abby and Brittany Hensel, who captured hearts with their grace and grit, have recently made a rare public appearance that is sure to warm even the most seasoned fans.

On Aug. 14, the duo were photographed by TMZ as they carried a newborn baby into a waiting vehicle in Arden Hills, Minnesota, marking their first highly visible outing in over a year.

The two were dressed in casual clothing as they loaded the infant into the back of a black Tesla. The relationship to the child is unclear.

The Hensel sisters reportedly spent a few minutes making sure the child was secure and then decided to look through the trunk after shutting the door to the vehicle.

Abby Had a Marriage Milestone in 2021

Abby Hensel’s marriage to Army veteran Josh Bowling first took place in November 2021, yet it wasn’t until March 2024 that the world learned of the union via public records and social media.

Since the wedding, Abby has embraced a new role as stepmother to Bowling’s daughter, Isabella.

The twins continue teaching fifth grade in Minnesota, grounding their fame with everyday routines that reflect both normalcy and resilience. The duo once discussed which subjects each excelled at.

“Math and science is kind of my strong point,” Abby explained on an episode of “Abby & Brittany,” according to E! News. “Where Brittany is more focused on the language arts, reading—stuff like that.”

Bowling went on to change his Facebook profile image to showcase both his wife Abby and her conjoined twin sister, Brittany.

The picture was a smiley selfie featuring the trio in cooler weather.

Abby & Brittany Have Previously Thought About the Possibility of Motherhood

In the 2003 documentary “Joined for Life,” their mother Patty Hensel mentioned that her daughters were interested in having children one day.

“That is probably something that could work because those organs do work for them,” Patty told viewers.

“Yeah, we’re going to be moms,” Brittany later added. “We haven’t thought about how being moms is going to work yet. But we’re just 16 — we don’t need to think about that right now.”

They first gained attention when they appeared on “The Oprah Winfrey Show” in 1996, and later went on to star in a TLC reality show, “Abby & Brittany.”

The two have previously discussed being conjoined. During their 2007 documentary, they said, “We never wish we were separated. Because then we wouldn’t get to do the things we can do—play softball, meet new people, run.”
