Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are looking more loved-up than ever in the newly dropped New Heights podcast, which features a solid two hour lovefest that fans of the couple would label priceless.
But while you can’t buy love, this pair certainly has the means to buy pretty much anything else.
We’re breaking down what Tay and Trav each bring to the table. And needless to say, the numbers are very different for one than the other.
Both Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have been wildly successful in their respective careers, of course. But the former Key Advisor and Mega Mentor on “The Voice” Taylor’s accomplishments have brought her substantially more wealth.
And as anyone who has listened to the “New Heights” podcast can tell you, those accomplishments were on full display right out of the gate when podcast co-host Jason Kelce introduced her.
“She is the most awarded artist in the history of the American Music Awards, Billboard Music Awards and iHeart Radio Music Awards,” Jason yelled in his over-the-top introduction.
“She has 14 Grammy Awards, and is the ONLY artist in history to win ‘Album of the Year’ four times! Last December, she wrapped up the Eras Tour, which spanned 149 shows across 51 cities, 5 continents, and was the most attended tour of all time,” Jason continued, steadily ramping up in both volume and enthusiasm.
Jason wraps up his recount of her accomplishments with, “Her last album, ‘The Tortured Poets Department,’ set a record with 1.76 billion streams globally within the first week alone.”
Taylor Swift’s ‘New Heights’ Podcast Racks Up Almost 10M Views In 15 Hours
At press time, the “New Heights” podcast was busy breaking its own records, with almost 10 million views in its first 15 hours on YouTube.
And that, of course, doesn’t even add in the number of people listening to it on Apple Podcasts, Spotify and Wondery.
But while those numbers are sure to increase the bottom line for both Travis Kelce and brother Jason, they still have a long way to go to catch up to Taylor’s net worth.
According to Celebrity Net Worth, Taylor Swift’s fortune stands at approximately $1.5 billion- that’s billion with a “B.”
And that’s AFTER spending a reported $300 million or so to regain ownership of her entire music catalog a few months ago.
Regaining the rights to all her songs was a big topic of conversation during the “New Heights” podcast.
“I thought about not owning my music every day. It was like an intrusive thought I had every day,” Taylor told the Kelce brothers.
“I want it because this is my hand-written diary entries from my whole life,” she continued. “These are the songs I wrote about every phase of my life. This is my photography, my music videos, most of which I funded, my artwork. Everything that I’ve ever done is in this catalogue.”
Taylor related that she still thinks about it every day. “Yeah, this changed my life. I can’t believe it still. Every time I think about it, I have to tell the short version to everyone. This will affect the rest of my life. I think about this every day now but instead of it being an intrusive thought that hurts me, I’m like, ‘I can’t believe this happened. How lucky am I?’”
Travis Kelce’s Net Worth Has Considerably Less Zeroes At the End
By contrast, Celebrity Net Worth puts Travis Kelce’s net worth at $90 million. Impressive, but less than a third of what Taylor Swift reportedly shelled out just to regain her masters.
Travis Kelce has acquired his fortune both on and off the field. Last April, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end signed a two-year, $34.3 million contract with the Chiefs.
He’s earned just under $80 million overall in the past decade with the NFL.
He also makes about $5 million a year in endorsement deals with McDonald’s, Papa John’s, Nike and Bud Light and other major brands according to the Mirror.
But the podcast he hosts with brother Jason could end up being one of his biggest earners.
Even before Taylor sat down for an episode, the podcast was skyrocketing in popularity with almost three-million subscribers.
Last August, Amazon’s Wondery podcast service and the Kelce brothers agreed to a $100 million deal for the show.
