Legendary rapper Snoop Dogg, who just began filming season 28 of “The Voice,” will celebrate Christmas in July by spreading love — and a lot of chicken — all across America on July 27, 2025.
That’s the day Raising Cane’s has established as National Chicken Finger Day. For the first time, the restaurant chain will automatically give anyone who orders a Box Combo on July 27 an extra chicken finger. To mark the occasion, Snoop stars in a funny nationwide ad in which he plays Santa, cruising through the sky in a cherry red Cadillac convertible, dropping chicken fingers on unsuspecting people below.
Although the spot is hilarious and Snoop clearly had fun shooting it, the rapper is all business when it comes to brand and media partners, from Raising Cane’s to NBC, which he signed a massive deal with in 2024.
Watch Snoop Dogg’s Funny New Spot
In the new 30-second and 60-second spots, Raising Cane’s owner and founder Todd Graves is seen sick in bed, calling Snoop for backup on National Chicken Fingers Day. It’s a special occasion Graves first created in 2010 and had trademarked in 2019, according to a press release.
Snoop tell Graves in the new spots to rest up, and assures him he’ll take over delivery duties. He hops into his spiffy Cadillac “sleigh,” which magically takes flight — no reindeer needed — with a backseat full of Box Combos, chicken fingers, and copies of his just-released “Iz It a Crime?” album.
The rapper cheerfully shouts to the people below and tosses chicken fingers out of his car, which drop right into people’s hands, a woman’s bicycle basket, and straight into one guy’s shirt pocket. Then Snoop brings out pitchers full of Cane’s sauce and hilariously douses people below with it.
Snoop Dogg Had a Blast Behind the Scenes on Raising Cane’s Shoot

Behind-the-scenes photos provided to EntertainmentNow show Snoop Dogg made the ad shoot a party, as he’s prone to do. He filmed the car scenes in front of a green screen, tossing chicken fingers and pouring pitchers of sauce with a grin.

Snoop has had a long relationship with Raising Cane’s and Graves, including co-starring with him in the Discovery+ series “Restaurant Recovery” and A&E’s “Secret Sauce.” In 2024, Graves donated $100,000 to Snoop’s Youth Football League “to empower inner-city children with youth football and cheer programs,” per Raising Cane’s.
Snoop is no stranger to working with brands like Raising Cane’s. In addition to owning his own businesses, he’s very strategic about which companies and executives he partners with and endorses.
In December, Snoop told students at the USC Marshall School of Business, which named him the 2024 Entrepreneur of the Year, “A lot of these branding deals is about relationships … How are we going to start this relationship and how we want to end this relationship? Do we start it with a bang, or do we end this in court? Do we end this mad or frustrated or do we end this saying ‘I never thought this business could be this big.”
He continued, “Relationships are the most important key to this business, the relationship that you have with people.”
The free chicken fingers at Raising Cane’s will be available for one day only, July 27, with in-store signage, billboards and the ads for the National Chicken Finger Day promotion. Meanwhile, his 21st album, “Iz It a Crime?,” features 21 tracks including a new collaboration with former “The Voice” coach Pharrell.
