New Chance the Rapper Album Coming
No surprise here, but the tour announcement happens to coincide with Chance getting ready to release his new album. “Star Line” will be released this Friday, August 15. The first single from the album, “Tree,” which features Lil Wayne and Smino, was released in July.
The album will follow “Chance’s global journey, artistically, spiritually, and physically over the past six years. Created with longtime producer DexLvL and shaped by travels to Ghana, Jamaica, and art fairs around the world, ‘Star Line’ blends hip-hop, soul, and experimental sounds with lyrical meditations on identity, resilience, and legacy,” according to a press release.
The press release continued: “While Chance has circled the globe in search of new perspectives, the project remains grounded in the worldview that has always defined his art: a deep, unshakable connection to Chicago and Black culture across the diaspora.”
This will be the sophomore album for Chance the Rapper. His debut album, “The Big Day,” dropped six years ago. That album included some major features from Death Cab for Cutie, Megan Thee Stallion, Nicki Minaj, John Legend, Gucci Mane, and more.
