Pop star and former “The Voice” coach Camila Cabello is opening up the inner work she’s been doing to battle her “demons every day” and how, during her current tour, she hopes to “leave the world a little softer, a little less heavy in the corners I get touch.”
On August 4, 2025, the 28-year-old singer released a 14-minute peek into her tour life in a YouTube documentary short called “Camila Cabello – yours, c tour mini doc.”
In the video’s opening scene, Cabello admitted that before going on tour, she felt “kind of bruised up and a little lost.” Being with people she cares about and who care about her has lifted some of the heaviness, Cabello said, but she wanted to give voice to the mental “demons” that still haunt her so others feel less alone coping with their own.
Camila Cabello Says Fighting For Her Mental Health Requires ‘So Much Work’
Cabello shared her struggles to let her fans know that “the people you look up to” who “appear to be so easily themselves” may actually be having a hard time doing so.
“You probably don’t see that it takes a lot of work blocking out the noise from outside, the noise from inside,” she said in the video, noting that going back on tour and working with kindred spirits has been critical for her mental health.
“I feel like there’s something dangerous that can happen in your own mind when you spend too long without your people,” she said in the documentary. “The ones who just get you and make you feel safe and loved.”
Even so, Cabello said in the video, “I battle demons every day. Comparisons. Insecurity. Imposter syndrome. Self criticism. Self doubt. For me to have a good show, I have to do so much work of watering the right seeds and cutting the weeds in my mind that have grown when I wasn’t even looking.”
“It’s a constant fight,” the singer added, “but it’s the most worthwhile one.”
Camila Cabello Has Found Love With Billionaire Heir
One thing that may be helping Cabello’s mental health is that she’s feeling good about her love life these days.
Cabello has found love with billionaire heir boyfriend Henry Junior Chalhoub, whom she was seen kissing on a beach in January and again in Ibiza, Spain, in July. Chalhoub is an heir to his family’s company, the Chalhoub Group, which is based in Dubai.
The singer, who served as a coach on “The Voice” on season 22 in the spring of 2023, famously dated fellow singer Shawn Mendes from 2019 to 2021.
