“The Voice” alum Adam Levine has been a busy man, but he is getting back to his musical roots! Fans will soon get to hear more of his music because on August 15, Maroon 5 will release their anticipated eighth studio album, “Love Is Like.”
Maroon 5 Tease New Album
To generate excitement, Maroon 5 has been teasing their new album, which comes six years after the release of their seventh studio album, “Jordi.”
Three days ago, on August 9, Maroon 5 made a post on Instagram for their 9 million followers to see. The short video shows the band in the studio recording “California,” and it sounds incredible. “Working on our new set for our Love Is Like fall tour – what song would you like us to play? New music out next Friday, 8/15! Preorder our Love Is Like album now!” the caption reads.
Fans are excited, and the comment section has been flooded with messages. “Can’t wait for the tour,” a comment reads. “Beautiful,” another person shared. The comment section is also alive with songs that fans would love to hear. The 2010 track “How” is among the top contenders; other choices include “Never Gonna Leave This Bed,” “One More Night,” and “She Will Be Loved.”
“Any album tracks from Hands All Over, in a dream world that will never happen,” another fan wrote.
Everything To Know About ‘Love Is Like’
Ahead of the album release, Maroon 5 has given some spoilers. This includes an announcement on Instagram on July 31 that limited-edition signed CDs and T-shirts are available for pre-order.
On August 11, the band shared a look from behind the scenes as they made their new music video for “Love Is Like.” The caption on the Instagram post reads, “BTS from the brand new ‘Love Is Like’ music video, coming soon.”
Fans are impressed with what they see, and the comments include, “I think this music video will be different, so excited,” “so excited to watching thissss,” and “That’s real creativity.”
On an appearance on “Today” on August 2, Levine discussed how this album was going to be different. He reflected on how, in the first three albums, the band created them all on their own, without outside help. As they progressed as a band, they started doing collaborations “with other writers, which was incredible,” Levine said. “We had an amazing run doing that. We got addicted to these collabs.”
Levine said they are “so thankful” for the “string of amazing hits” that the band has had, but they wanted to go back to the start. Of their thought process regarding their latest album, Levine said it was: “Just to come back to, ‘Hey, you know, let me see if we can do this again and do this just with us and let’s see if this still works.’”
The band will also go on tour, and they announced this news on Instagram on June 27. “Tickets to our 23-date U.S. LOVE IS LIKE Fall Tour are officially on sale now! We can’t wait to see you all out there,” the caption reads.
