Prince William & Kate Middleton Are Moving Out

Prince William and Kate Middleton are among the most talked-about members of the royal family. Now, it has come to light that the couple has plans to relocate. This move comes after three years of living in Adelaide Cottage. The news comes on the heels of the family’s VJ Day Service. Notably, Prince William and Middleton were not a part of it.

A spokesperson for Kensington Palace confirmed the news to PEOPLE. They said, “The Wales family will move house later this year.”

Prince William and Middleton are Moving to a Bigger Home

William and Middleton’s current residence, Adelaide Cottage, is a beautiful four-bedroom home. However, it seems the royal couple needs something a bit bigger. According to The Sun, they are moving to Forest Lodge, which comprises eight bedrooms. The outlet also says they will remain here even after the Prince becomes king.

Insiders also told the outlet that William and Middleton are using this new home as a fresh start after experiencing a difficult time in Adelaide Cottage. Notably, Queen Elizabeth passed away during their time living there, and both Princess Kate and King Charles were diagnosed with cancer.

The source said, “Windsor has become their home. However, over the last few years, while they have lived at Adelaide Cottage, there have been some really difficult times. Moving gives them an opportunity for a fresh start and a new chapter; an opportunity to leave some of the more unhappy memories behind.”

They continued, “This is a move for the long-term. They see it as their forever home.” It is also being reported that William and Kate are paying for the move themselves as well as for the property’s rent.

Regarding Forest Lodge, it is reported to be 328 years old, and both internal and external renovations have begun on the property. William and Kate hope to have moved by Christmas.

They Posted a Message About VJ Day

William and Middleton didn’t attend the royal family’s VJ Day service because they were on summer break with their children. However, they still remarked on the occasion. Notably, VJ Day commemorates the end of World War II in Japan.

According to PEOPLE, they wrote on social media, “Today, on the 80th anniversary of VJ Day, we remember the courage, sacrifice, and resilience of all who served. Today we especially think of those British and Commonwealth troops who fought in the Asia-Pacific.”

They continued, “We owe an enduring debt to the generation who gave so much, and to whom we will always be grateful. Lest we forget. W&C.”
