Meghan Markle Compares Love Story With Harry to ‘Super Mario’

Meghan Markle shared a surprising and playful insight into her love story with Prince Harry. The Duchess of Sussex, 43, has never been one to hold back when it comes to expressing her affection for the royal, even in the face of public scrutiny.

Now, she’s taking things a step further by likening their romance to something many may find unexpected.

On the April 28, 2025, episode of “The Jamie Kern Lima Show” podcast, Markle got candid about her relationship with Prince Harry. The mother of two opened up about their romance, which she playfully compared to the “Super Mario Bros.”

The Duchess of Sussex noted that her royal love story with Prince Harry reminds her of what it’s like “when you get to the final level” of the hit video game. Markle added:

What’s the goal in Super Mario? They’re like, ‘Slay the dragon, save the princess! Like, that’s my husband. He’s just out there … he’s just going to do whatever he can to make sure that our family is safe and protected and uplifted and still make time for date nights.

In the same interview, Markle gushed about Prince Harry, admitting that she’s very much in love with him now more than ever. The “With Love, Meghan” star couldn’t help but gush about her husband, whom she described as “very, very handsome.” Markle told the host:

He’s also a fox, if you haven’t noticed. My husband’s very, very handsome. But his heart is even more beautiful.

The duchess goes on to shower Prince Harry with praises, calling him a “great partner” who “fully supports” everything she does.

When asked if she’ll be married to him forever, Markle declared, “Yes!” putting an end to unfounded divorce rumors.

H, that man loves me so much, and you know, look what we’ve built. We built a beautiful life, and we have two healthy and beautiful children.

Seven years after their 2018 royal wedding, Markle said they now have “a little breathing space” and get to enjoy each other in a new way, adding that it feels like they’re still in the honeymoon phase at the moment.
