King Charles Has an Unexpected Side Hustle?

King Charles is channeling his lifelong love of dogs into a new royal side hustle, one designed especially for the palace’s most pampered pups. According to The Telegraph, the monarch has officially launched a range of luxury dog treats and accessories, baked and designed in true Windsor fashion.

Made with wholemeal flour, eggs, and chicken broth, the cookies are hand-prepared in small batches in the kitchens of Balmoral Castle, his Scottish residence.

The Balmoral Castle website lists the 75-gram package at £5 (around $6.64), with a description that reads:

“These 100% natural cookies, hand-baked in the kitchens of Balmoral Castle, have been lovingly prepared in small batches for your four-legged prince or princess.”

Royal Wardrobe: Tweed Collars, Leads & the “Happy Hound” Coat

But Charles didn’t stop at biscuits. The new pet line also includes a full suite of accessories for stylish pups, including a tweed collar (£32 or $42.49), a matching lead (£40 or $53.11), and a treat bag, all available for purchase.

There’s even a ceramic dog bowl featuring the royal coat of arms (£28 or $37.17). The crown jewel? A custom tartan coat called “Happy Hound,” personally designed by King Charles and sold exclusively at the Sandringham estate boutique for £44.99 (around $59.74). As the website’s offerings make clear, the King’s tweed obsession now extends to canines, too.

King Charles’ Lifelong Love of Dogs, Shared With Queen Camilla

Charles, much like Queen Camilla, has a deep affection for dogs that goes back decades. Earlier this year, the couple mourned the loss of Beth, Camilla’s beloved Jack Russell terrier.

Beth even had her moment on television, appearing on “For the Love of Dogs” in 2022, where she competed in a playful “loyalty duel” against the late Paul O’Grady and his own pup.

They soon welcomed a new pup, Moley, adopted from Battersea Dogs & Cats Home.

In a photo shared on May 18, Camilla was seen cradling the new puppy, marking the beginning of a new chapter for the couple’s furry family.

Meet Snuff: Charles’ First Dog in Two Decades

Charles recently adopted his first personal dog in nearly 20 years, a Lagotto Romagnolo named Snuff, an Italian breed known for truffle hunting.

His last dog, Tigga, a Jack Russell terrier, was adopted in the early 1980s following his marriage to Princess Diana and passed away in 2002 at age 18. Still, Charles’s love for animals never wavered.

With this new venture, the King is giving back to his canine companions in the most royal way possible.
