Why ‘The Hills’ Alum Lo Bosworth is Opting for a ‘Micro-Wedding’ Instead of a Lavish Ceremony

Former “The Hills” star Lo Bosworth and her fiancé, Domenic Natale, have decided to tie the knot in a small ceremony so they can better budget for their future. During an appearance on “A Better Way to Money” podcast, Bosworth said that instead of a lavish affair, the couple will celebrate their nuptials with a low-key reception in Laguna Beach.

“Ultimately, we decided to shift our priorities because we would like to start a family,” Bosworth explained. “We would like to buy a house and those things cost money and you have to plan for your future.”

She also revealed that instead of a custom wedding gown, she will walk down the aisle in an inexpensive dress she found online. “I bought [an] off-the-rack wedding dress off the internet for like $1,000, and I’m thrilled with it! It fits great,” Bosworth said.

The Inspiration Behind Bosworth’s Decision

Bosworth, who is the founder of women’s health brand Love Wellness, said she and Natale made the decision to change their original wedding plans after an impromptu engagement party at a local watering hole.

“We had one of the best nights of our lives at this dive bar with our friends that we had gathered together last minute, drinking beers,” Bosworth explained. The couple wondered if “having a huge, fancy, expensive wedding” was the right move, opting instead to have what she called a “micro-wedding.”

Bosworth and Natale will have a family-only wedding followed by a backyard reception at Bosworth’s parent’s home in Laguna Beach. “If I was younger, I would’ve gone for the bigger wedding,” the former reality star, 38, revealed.

A More Mature Union

Bosworth announced her engagement to Natale, an investor, in January of 2025 via a sweet Instagram post that featured the couple kissing, with Bosworth’s engagement ring on full display.

According to the “Laguna Beach” alum, meeting Natale when she was a bit older was something that worked in her favor. “We met when we were both 37, and I have always been somebody that wanted to get married and wanted to have a family…,” Bosworth explained.

She also revealed that she spent much of her 30s focusing on her entrepreneurial career instead of looking for a relationship. “I spent a big chunk of my 30s single. Which was unexpected for me,” Bosworth admitted, adding, “I think that I was embarrassed that I was single to be honest with you.”

Bosworth also said that despite societal pressures for women to get married and start a family before their late 30s, waiting was the right choice for her. She and Natale met “after I had done a lot of self-work and therapy and reflection on my relationship status,” so Bosworth was ready once true love came along.
