The former “Bachelor” star has made it to the final three and is heading to London for the ultimate showdown.
Peter Weber‘s journey on “Destination X” has taken him across Europe and now to the final destination where he’ll compete for the $250,000 prize. The reality TV veteran, known for his appearances on “The Bachelor” and “The Traitors,” has survived nine weeks of intense competition and finds himself among the last three contestants standing.
In an exclusive sneak peek of Tuesday’s finale, Weber arrives in London alongside fellow finalists Christian “Biggy” Bailey and Rick Szabo. The trio discovers their location after having their VR goggles-style blindfolds removed while aboard a helicopter, providing them with a stunning bird’s-eye view of the British capital.
Weber shows appreciation for the historic city during a confessional moment. “So many iconic and famous landmarks, so much history here,” the reality star remarks. “Really wishing that I had been able to travel to London more.”
Host Jeffrey Dean Morgan sets the stage for the finale by bringing the contestants to Greenwich, a location with symbolic significance for the competition’s conclusion. “The clock is ticking down to the end of my game,” the actor narrates. “So I’ve brought my finalists to Greenwich, the place where the world learned how to keep time. The big question is, did my players make every second count? Only time will tell you.”
Weber’s Strategic Journey
Weber joined “Destination X” in episode three as a guest star alongside “Love Island‘s” JaNa Craig, but both were subsequently added as full-time competitors. His entry into the competition brought valuable experience from previous reality shows, particularly his strategic gameplay demonstrated on “The Traitors” season 2.
According to NBC.com, Weber expressed his determination to finally win a reality competition. “I have never won any type of reality competition I have been on, so I’m trying to get this first W and hopefully this is it,” he said in a pre-season interview. “When I’m playing a game like this, I literally have one thing on my mind, and that’s winning.”
Weber’s background as a pilot has provided him with geographical knowledge that proved helpful throughout the competition. His professional experience flying to various destinations worldwide gave him insights that other contestants may have lacked.
The former Bachelor has described his gameplay style as “loose, confident, and comfortable,” focusing on suppressing nerves while maintaining his natural competitive spirit. His loyalty to alliances, which was prominent during “The Traitors,” has continued to define his approach on “Destination X.”
Final Three Dynamics
The competition has intensified as Weber, Bailey, and Szabo prepare for the ultimate challenge in London. Recent episodes have shown strategic partnerships forming and dissolving, with Weber often working alongside Szabo throughout the season.
The previous episode in Monaco created significant drama when contestants discovered that Szabo had deceived them about clues he received. Bailey learned that Szabo had lied to him about receiving “two white pinecones” as a clue, creating tension heading into the finale.
Weber chose to make his partnership with Szabo a key part of his strategy, demonstrating the loyalty he displayed on other reality shows. However, this alliance now faces challenges as the competition reaches its final stage with only three contestants left.
With his track record of strong, tactical gameplay and his determination to finally claim victory on a reality show, Weber enters the finale as a formidable contender for the quarter-million-dollar prize.
