Inside ‘Bachelor in Paradise’ Host Jesse Palmer’s Love Life

Once upon a time, Jesse Palmer, host of “The Bachelor” franchise, was doing the same thing as the show’s contestants: searching for love. In 2004, the Former NFL quarterback became the first Canadian and professional athlete to become “The Bachelor.” While he didn’t propose to anyone, he did leave the show with a girlfriend.

While Palmer is no longer single, he continues to help others find romance. To learn more about when — and where — he finally found his happy ending, read on.

Jesse Palmer is Happily Married & Has a Daughter

In 2017, the “Bachelor in Paradise” host met Brazilian model Emely Fardo, and his world changed. “We actually met at a boxing class in New York City, a place called Rumble Boxing,” Palmer said on the “Jennifer Hudson Show.” “I was walking in, and she was leaving the class. She was a sweaty mess. I thought she was absolutely drop-dead gorgeous. My whole world stopped.”

“And, ironically, our first date was back at the boxing class,” he continued. “We had a boxing class together as a first date. And so, I was watching my future wife punch the bag, which was really attractive and also terrifying. Because that girl can punch. I remember watching her, and I said to myself, ‘I’m going to treat this woman right.”

After proposing to her on July 4, 2019, the pair decided to elope in 2020 because of the pandemic. In 2022, they had a second, larger wedding in Provence, France. Two years later, in January 2024, they became parents to Ella Reine Palmer.

The two also adopted an Australian shepherd-poodle in 2020. They named the adorable dog Mademoiselle Loulou Palmer, and she even has her own Instagram page.

Jesse Palmer Left ‘The Bachelor’ With a Girlfriend Instead of a Fiancé

Twenty years ago, Palmer appeared on “The Bachelor” in search of a partner. He told Hudson that he had “really good memories” of his time on the show, even though he didn’t end up marrying, or even getting engaged, to any of the women.

During one of the rose ceremonies, Palmer accidentally called one of the women by the name Karen instead of her actual name, Katie. In the end, Palmer chose Jessica Bowlin, but instead of getting down on one knee and proposing to her, he told her, “I am not ready to propose to you tonight.”

Instead, he told Bowlin that his “gut instinct” told him they were meant to be together. He gave her a plane ticket to New York, with the hopes that they could get to know each other better. Shortly after, they broke up.
