“Bachelor in Paradise” Season 10 is back from hiatus, but is it going to be bigger and better than before? This is a question fans will soon be able to answer as the show premieres on Monday, July 7 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC. Episodes will be available to stream on Hulu the day after.
As fans get ready for the drama, the love, and the potential Goldens crossover with the younger cast, this is everything you need to know about the upcoming season and how it will be different.
What Is Different About ‘Bachelor in Paradise’ Season 10?
The most obvious difference this season is the change of location, with the show being filmed at the Azura Beach Resort in Costa Rica. Fans will also see an addition to the bar, with “The Bachelorette” star Hannah Brown taking on a new role alongside Adam Wells and Jesse Palmer.
Another change? The addition of favorites from “The Golden Bachelor” and “The Golden Bachelorette,” who haven’t appeared on Paradise before. There will be 12 contestants competing for love, and their inclusion has brought an interesting dynamic to the show.
“I, like many, fell in love with the Goldens on their respective seasons,” Brown told Decider in an interview on July 2. “My fiancé and I literally cried over that show … Their outlook on life, the wisdom that they have … They bring this energy that is so infectious and really livens up the younger cast as well.”
Who Is Cast on ‘Bachelor in Paradise’ Season 10?
Reality Steve reports that 16 contestants started the show. Six women (including three from Grant Ellis’ “The Bachelor” season) and ten men (seven from Jenn Tran’s “The Bachelorette” season). The contestants are Alexe Godin, Bailey Brown, Jess Edwards, Kat Izzo, Lexi Young, Zoe McGrady, Brian Autz, Dale Moss, Hakeem Moulton, Jeremy Simon, Jonathon Johnson, Justin Glaze, Kyle Howard, Riquerdy “Ricky” Marinez, Sam McKinney, and Spencer Conley.
Dale and Sam arrived on Day 2, Reality Steve reports.
Who Was Eliminated First?
Major spoilers ahead:
The first round of eliminations took place when the women gave roses to the men. Reality Steve reports that the first people to go home were Sam, Kyle, Hakeem, and Ricky. The second round was when the men gave the roses to the woman, and four new contestants joined the show ahead of the ceremony. They were: Susie Evans, Parisa Shifteh, Jill Chin, and Alli Jo Hinkes.
Going home after this ceremony were Justin, Susie, Alli Jo, Lexi, and Zoe.
Reality Steve reports that two new men enter the house ahead of the third ceremony. They are Andrew Spencer and Sean McLaughlin. The Goldens also arrive at the villa, and fans will see: April Kirkwood, Charles “CK” King, Jack Lencioni, Kathy Swarts, Keith Gordon, Kim Buike, Leslie Fhima, Natascha Hardee, Ralph “RJ” Johnson, and Gary Levingston. Now, something interesting that Reality Steve reports is that April “makes out” with Sean McLaughlin, so fans will see The Goldens interact (and maybe do more than that) with stars from “The Bachelor” and “The Bachelorette.”
More new faces arrive after the fourth ceremony, two new women for the younger cast, Leah Cayanan and Allyshia Gupta, and two new women for the Goldens. They are Faith Martin and Nancy Hulkower.
But What About the ‘Bachelor in Paradise’ Season 10 Format?
The most significant change of all is the difference in format from previous seasons. Fans of the show are accustomed to seeing new faces enter the villa regularly, which often adds drama to the house and can lead to big changes among the couples. However, this season, Reality Steve reports that after the fourth ceremony, no new faces will enter the villa. This change in format means that there will be 12 Goldens, 12 younger women, and 12 younger men.
Wells Adams, who will once again join the show as a bartender, shared what he feels is different about “Bachelor in Paradise” in an interview with Decider on July 2. “I was sad that Paradise didn’t come back last year, just because I love filming the show,” Wells said. “I’m biased, but I think it’s the best of all of the Bachelor Nation shows. I think it’s the most fun. And this new iteration is gonna look a lot different. It’s gonna feel a lot different. We’re gonna try some things that we’ve never tried before, but I’ve seen a good amount of it, and I think that’s everyone’s really gonna like it.”
