Former “Bachelorette” contestant Dale Moss arrived on the beach for Season 10 of “Bachelor in Paradise” and quickly connected with franchise alum Kat Izzo. What started as a promising spark has quickly turned into one of Paradise’s central storylines.

Speculation about a possible engagement began even before the season aired, with Bachelor Nation sleuths pointing to social media clues as early indicators. Among them was a notable Instagram follow from Kat’s sister to Dale, sparking buzz that the couple had gone the distance during filming.

According to longtime franchise sleuth Reality Steve, Dale and Kat are among five couples who left the show together, though they didn’t get engaged. Other couples who reportedly made it to the end include Parisa Shifteh and Brian Autz, Alexe Godin and Andrew Spencer, Sean McLaughlin and Allyshia Gupta, and Jeremy Spencer and Bailey Brown.

A shift in the show’s format this season may explain the drop in engagements. Reality Steve noted on his podcast that couples might not be required to propose in the finale, possibly leading to fewer high-stakes endings and more emphasis on organic relationships.

However, the couple appears to be in for a bumpy ride as Kat continues to wrestle with Dale’s behavior. “His actions aren’t aligning with what he says,” she confided in a confessional in tonight’s episode. “I think a pink flag has turned to a red flag.”

She later shares her doubts with castmate Jonathan Johnson, questioning Dale’s intentions with other contestants like Zoe and Alex. “If he does that again, I don’t know what I could say, like keep going,” she says.

Despite the uncertainty, Dale and Kat continued to give each other roses at every ceremony and refrained from dating other contestants, according to Screen Rant.

Dale and Kat’s Paradise Romance Kicked Off Fast

From the start of the season, Moss and Izzo appeared to bond quickly, sharing a romantic boat date that ended with a rose exchange. But as the weeks went on, their relationship took a more complicated turn.

In a clip shared by Collider, Kat confronts Dale about his interest in other women. “If a girl comes in next week, that you would be attracted to or like, want to explore, is that something that you’re still like, open to doing?” she asks. Dale initially sidesteps the question, but then mentions former contestant Allie Jo—despite her earlier elimination—hinting at unresolved feelings.

Tension mounts as Kat presses Dale further about what happened outside the show’s infamous kissing booth challenge. Although Kat remained loyal to Dale throughout the challenge, he took the opportunity to kiss Alexe Godin, Zoe McGrady, and Allie Jo Hinkes. When asked if anything happened beyond the kissing booth with Allie Jo, Dale finally admits, “uh, you know…one time.”

Bachelor Nation fans likely recall Moss from Season 16 of “The Bachelorette,” where he made headlines for his whirlwind romance with Clare Crawley. Just two weeks into filming, Crawley chose Dale as her final pick, leading to an early exit from the show and an on-screen engagement. Though the couple’s relationship played out in the spotlight, they ultimately parted ways in late 2021. Now, Moss is back and giving love another shot on Season 10 of “Bachelor in Paradise.”
