Travis Kelce Uses 1 Word for Taylor Swift’s New Album

Taylor Swift is stepping into a new musical era, and the first person to hear it all is the one cheering her on the loudest. In the early hours of Tuesday morning, the 14-time Grammy winner announced her upcoming album, ‘The Life of a Showgirl’.

While fans will have to count down the weeks until its release, her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, has already listened to every track and can’t stop singing its praises. On Wednesday, the couple sat down with Kelce’s brother Jason for an episode of their ‘New Heights podcast‘, where Swift opened up about the creative process and Kelce shared his own glowing review.

Reuniting With Max Martin & Shellback

During the podcast, Swift shared that she worked closely on the album with Max Martin, the iconic producer behind her pop-forward eras like Red, 1989, & Reputation. Martin has also crafted hits for Britney Spears, Backstreet Boys, NSYNC, Katy Perry, Ariana Grande, The Weeknd & more.

Swift is also collaborating again with Shellback, the Swedish producer who worked alongside Martin on several of her previous albums. Shellback’s credits include songs for Adele, Maroon 5, Avril Lavigne, Usher & Adam Lambert.

Kelce couldn’t stop raving about the music, calling all 12 tracks on The Life of a Showgirl “bangers.” He described the album as a “complete 180” from Swift’s previous release, The Tortured Poets Department.

“It’s so much fun,” Kelce said. “Obviously, I’ve been fortunate enough to hear every single song on here, so I know they’re all 12 bangers.” He added that it’s “a lot more upbeat” and filled with “fun pop” energy that you “can’t help but dance to.”

A More Upbeat Era Ahead

Swift agreed with Kelce’s assessment, saying, “Life is a lot more upbeat.” While fans won’t hear the tracks until release day, Kelce’s early praise suggests a vibrant, danceable pop return for the singer.

With the powerhouse duo of Martin & Shellback back in the mix, and Swift in a brighter, more energetic creative space, The Life of a Showgirl is already building high expectations.

The album will be available in multiple formats, including glittery orange vinyl, a cassette, and a CD packaged with a poster. According to the website, pre-sale orders will ship before October 13, 2025, though it notes that it’s not the album’s release date. An official release date will be announced at a later time.

The New Heights episode delivers plenty of playful moments between the singer and her NFL star boyfriend. Last month, an insider told People magazine that Swift and Kelce “have talked about the future a lot.” The insider added, “They’re in a really solid place and more in sync than ever. They’re both all in.”
