Taylor Swift fans are speculating that the pop star may have secretly appeared in “Happy Gilmore 2,” possibly alongside her boyfriend, Travis Kelce.
Netflix recently shared a behind-the-scenes look at Kelce, 35, warming up for his scene where Bad Bunny slathers him in honey for the comedy film.
Taylor Swift Is the Bear?
In the highly anticipated sequel, the tight end plays a mean boss who cruelly fires Bad Bunny’s character, Oscar. In the hilarious scene, Oscar is having a fantasy where his boss gets eaten by a bear after he lathers him up with honey.
Of course, Swifties jumped in the comments to share their thoughts on why they thought the “Shake it Off” singer was inside the bear costume.
To be honest, as many cameos as there were in “Happy Gilmore 2,” it would make sense that Taylor was underneath the bear costume.
One fan wrote, “They should’ve dressed Taylor as a bear for an epic surprise.” Netflix helped fuel that fire even more by replying with the eyes emoji.
Another fan questioned, “Ok but who is the bear! @taylorswift 👀.”
The hopes and conspiracies continued, with another fan writing, “Dying to know is it @taylorswift in the bear costume?? I hope so!” Another added, “Why do I feel like taylor was in the bear suit!!? 😂😂😂 ❤️.”
It’s Probably Not Her
While that would be an epic hidden gem in the movie, we don’t think it was Taylor in that bear costume. She did promote the sequel on her Instagram Story last week, giving a little shoutout to her man.
Swift wrote, “Happy Gilmore 2 had me cackling and cheering the whole movie! An absolute must watch, 13/10, go watch it on @netflix as soon as humanly possible 🍯.”
Of course, the honey emoji is about her NFL star boyfriend’s funny scene in “Happy Gilmore 2.”
Adam Sandler, the producer and star of “Happy Gilmore 2,” has also voiced that he is a proud Swiftie himself and praised the singer on multiple occasions.
In 2023, he took his daughters to the premiere of Swift’s Eras Tour Film, and Sandler told Entertainment Tonight, “Taylor is incredible. Taylor is so nice to my family and has always been. My kids have met Taylor a bunch of times over the years, and she’s ridiculously nice to them and warm.”
While Sandler is a big fan of Taylor, he did tell Extra that he didn’t ask her to star in the movie with Kelce because he “didn’t want to bother” the busy pop star.
It sounds like it couldn’t possibly be Taylor inside that bear costume, but it’s always fun to speculate, right?
Travis Is In His Acting Era
Kelce continues to play strong on the football field, but he definitely seems to be in his acting era right now. In addition to appearing in “Happy Gilmore 2,” he also had a role in Ryan Murphy’s TV series “Grotesquerie.”
Now it looks like Travis will be joining his brother, Jason Kelce, in a short film called “Brewmite II.” This is a sequel to “Brewmite,” which was a short film for Garage Beer, the beer company of which the Kelce brothers are partial owners.
Fans loved Jason’s performance in the first short film, and now they get to see them on display again in “Brewmite II,” but Travis will be joining his brother this time around. The brothers shared a trailer for the new movie, which has Jason going head-to-head with some tough competition.
Travis is there to cheer his brother on, hyping him up as he does a special move called the “Kelce Split.” The sequel will premiere on August 7.
