Natalie Portman had a surprise encounter in New York City on July 21—Taylor Swift’s younger brother, Austin Swift. The 44-year-old actress was seen chatting and laughing with the 33-year-old Swift sibling. Portman had a day of wrapping on set for Lena Dunham’s upcoming Netflix rom-com, “Good Sex”. The two were spotted walking through the city with friends before going their separate ways.
Portman Keeps It Casual, Swift Stays Low-Key
In the candid snaps, Portman wore a black T-shirt and denim shorts, while Austin opted for a maroon plaid shirt and black pants. The sighting sparked interest among fans as Austin typically keeps a low public profile despite his famous family ties.
Who Is Austin Swift?

While Taylor Swift has dominated the global pop scene, her younger brother Austin Swift has quietly carved out an entertainment career.
A film studies graduate from the University of Notre Dame, Austin made his acting debut in the 2016 thriller “I.T.’ alongside Pierce Brosnan, followed by a role in “Live by Night” with Ben Affleck and Zoe Saldaña.
He later appeared in TV shows like “Embeds” and “Still the King”, and took on roles in indie films including “Cover Versions” and “We Summon the Darkness”, the latter of which he also co-produced. In 2019, he starred opposite Tom Felton in “Braking for Whales”. On the “Cover Versions” set, he developed a close friendship with co-star Debby Ryan.
Despite his growing résumé, Austin once admitted he felt like an outsider growing up. “I would go to the movies, and Daniel Craig was my friend, and Christian Bale was my friend,” he told Vanity Fair.

Filming is underway in New York City, which also stars Meg Ryan, Tramell Tillman & Mark Ruffalo.
According to Netflix’s official synopsis, Portman stars as Ally, a couples therapist who, after “spending a decade in a failed relationship… is turning 40 and reluctantly dipping her toe back into the New York dating scene. But she gets more than she bargained for when she meets two men — one in his twenties and one in his fifties — who show her there is no set formula for good sex.”
The film promises classic rom-com vibes with a modern twist, led by a star-studded cast and Dunham’s signature storytelling.
No release date for the Netflix project has been announced, but anticipation is building.
