“The Challenge” is set to make its return to MTV on July 30. Season 41, also known as “Vets and New Threats,” will pit series legends like Cara Maria Sorbellow, Johnny “Bananas” Devenanzio and CT Tamburello, against first-time players from the annals of reality TV history.
“For 40 seasons, generations of battle-hardened Veterans have fought relentlessly for the ultimate prize: the title of Challenge Champion. This season, fresh faces and new threats have entered the arena with one goal: to upend the old order and take it all. The Vets, driven by legacy and pride, will need to adapt fast. Their established hierarchy is crumbling, and leaning on past alliances, and experience is no longer reliable–it’s about navigating the ever-shifting landscape of alliances, betrayals, and unknown threats. To win, Veterans and New Threats will be forced to work together, unless they’re forced to turn on each other. Nothing is guaranteed,” reads the official logline for Season 41.
Three Former ‘Survivor’ Players Join ‘The Challenge’ Season 41
Similar to “Survivor,” Season 41 will mark the beginning of a “new era” for “The Challenge.” Coincidentally, the 32-person cast will also feature three former “Survivor” players – Michaela Bradshaw, Sydney Segal, and Dee Valladeras.

Bradshaw, who originally competed on “Survivor: Millennials vs. Gen X” before returning for “Survivor: Game Changers,” will be competing on the Veterans Team for Season 41. Her return will mark her third appearance on the long-running MTV series, following “The Challenge: USA 2,” where she was a finalist, and “The Challenge: Spies, Lies & Allies,” where she was eliminated in the first episode.
Competing on “The Challenge” for the first time on the “New Threats” team are Sydney Segal, who competed on “Survivor 41,” and Dee Valladeras, who won “Survivor 45.”
Valladeras is similarly set to appear on “Survivor 50,” which is currently filming in Fiji and is set to premiere on CBS in early 2026.
Who Else is on the Cast of ‘The Challenge’ Season 41
The full cast for “The Challenge” Season 41 was announced on June 18. In addition to Bradshaw, Segal and Valladeras, the cast similarly includes reality TV legends from series like “Big Brother,” “The Amazing Race” and “Love Island.”

Competing on the “New Threats” team, joining “Survivor” alums Segal and Valladeras, are Jake Cornish (“Love Island: All Stars”), Leonardo Dionicio (“Love Island USA”), Izzy Fairthorne (“Too Hot to Handle”), Will Gagnon (“Are You The One”), Justin Hinsley (“Cheer”), Yeremi Hykel (“The Amazing Race”), Blue Kim (“Big Brother”), Cedric Hodge (“Big Brother”), America Lopez ({Big Brother”), Adrienne Naylor (“Married at First Sight UK”), Leka Sodade (“Canada’s Ultimate Challenge”) and Tay Wilcoxson (“Big Brother Australia”).
Former WWE star Gabe Wai and professional boxer Ben Davis will round out the “New Threats” team.
Meanwhile, the “Vets” team will be composed of former “The Challenge” stars like Theo Campbell, Derek Chavez, Aneesa Ferreira, Leroy Garrett, Nany Gonzalez, Olivia Kaiser and Nia Moore. Former “The Challenge” winners will similarly be joining the cast, including Turabi “Turbo” Carmkiran, CT Tamburello, Cara Maria Sorbello, Rogan O’Connor, Ashley Mitchell, Aviv Melmed, Derrick Kosinski and Johnny “Bananas” Devenanzio.
“The Challenge: Vets and New Threats” premieres Wednesday, July 30 at 8:00pm ET on MTV.
