Who’s Left on ‘Survivor’ 48: Their Stats From the Season

Survivor 48” has been an entertaining and emotional season, which initially began with 18 castaways competing for the grand prize of $1 million. The finale will take place on May 21 and air from 8-11 p.m. ET on CBS and streaming on Paramount+ with Showtime. As it fast approaches, only five contestants remain. Who will be crowned the winner? And what are their odds of success?

Joe Hunter

Hunter is a 45-year-old fire department captain. “Survivor” is taxing both physically and emotionally, and Hunter has commented on his achievement of making it to the Final Five. “I’m so proud,” he said in a confessional, Parade reports. “I’m so happy to make the Final Five. I really didn’t think I’d make it this far. I’m proud for dads. I’m proud for older dudes. I’m proud.”

Hunter has impressed with his leadership skills, physical strength, and ability to win Immunity Challenges (he has four individual wins), making him one of the favorites to win. He has also held strong alliances, notably with fellow Final Five castaway, Eva Erickson. In terms of stats, it’s possible he is the one to beat!

Mitch Guerra

Mitch Guerra is a 34-year-old elementary school P.E. coach from Waco, Texas. Some theories online have claimed Guerra will not be the overall winner of the show. We won’t know until later tonight who will walk away victorious, but this competitor is expected to make it to the final three. He is generally well-liked and known for his perseverance. Unlike Joe Hunter, he has not enjoyed the same success with Immunity Challenge wins, but is that the deciding factor for who wins?

Eva Erickson

Eva Erickson has overcome a lot to be a part of the show and has, at times, been left in tears. She is the first openly autistic contestant, and at just 23 years old, she has played an impressive and strategic game. She has won an Immunity Challenge and formed a strong alliance with Joe Hunter, which has worked in her favor.

Kyle Fraser

Kyle Fraser is a 30-year-old lawyer who has used his relationship with contestants to his advantage. Although he may not be as visibly strong or likely to win as Joe Hunter, he has played a smart game and has a secret alliance with Kamilla Karthigesu that could help to win over votes.

Kamilla Karthigesu

Kamilla Karthigesu is a 31-year-old software engineer who has been a silent force in “Survivor 48.” Many have underestimated her strategic skills, but she’s proven to be a brilliant player and an immunity necklace winner.

There is much excitement surrounding the finale, and while there is an obvious favorite to win, it’s anyone’s game. “Survivor” host Jeff Probst shared his thoughts in an interview with EW on May 20. “It’s very rare to have a final five where you can make a legitimate case for any of them to win,” he told EW. “That’s what we have with this group. Anyone can win. It will all come down to who sits next to who in the final three. Those final two immunity challenges and control over who makes fire will be key.”
