Nick Hogan is remembering his father, wrestling icon Hulk Hogan, with a heartfelt message following the WWE Hall of Famer’s death on July 24 at age 71. In an emotional Instagram post shared July 26, Nick, 34, posted a series of throwback and recent photos with his dad, calling him his “hero” and “best friend.”
Son’s Emotional Tribute to His Legendary Dad
Nick Hogan began his tribute by expressing his gratitude to fans, writing:
“I’m sorry to everyone I have not responded to yet. This has been overwhelming and extremely difficult,” he wrote. “Hearing so many kind words and stories about my dad’s life, interactions and experiences with everyone has been incredible and comforting.”
He then described the deep love and admiration he held for his father:

Nick Reflects On His Relationship With His Dad
In the next part of his message, he reflected on their relationship:
“He was the most kind, loving and amazing father anybody could ask for,” he added. “I feel so blessed to have had the greatest dad in the world. He was not only the best dad but also my mentor and my best friend. He always has been my best friend and I love him and miss him more than I could ever explain.”
He went on to share the significance of their recent time together:
The “Hogan Knows Best” star noted that he had the opportunity to be able to thank his dad for “everything he has ever done for me” and “told him how much I loved him and hugged him every chance I got.”
“I spent a lot of time with him the past few years after moving back to Florida to be closer to him and I am so grateful for those memories,” Nick Hogan shared. “They are the best moments in my life. I would do anything to have him back but I know now that he will always be watching over me. I will always remember the lessons and advice he gave me and carry on in a way that I know would make him proud.”
He closed the emotional tribute with a heartfelt final message. Nick Hogan ended his emotional tribute on a sentimental note, writing,
“Thank you for being the best dad in the world and thank you for being my best friend. I love you so much Big Dog and I will miss you forever.”

I thought we still had more time.”
She added, “To the world, he was a legend… but to me, he was my Terry. The man I loved. My partner. My heart.”

Hogan is survived by his two children from his first marriage to Linda Hogan—daughter Brooke and son Nick. Earlier this year, Brooke publicly revealed that she had gone no-contact with her parents due to personal differences.
