His final confirmed public appearance came later that month in a photo opportunity with Florida Governor Ron DeSantis. Still, rumors persisted. In June, radio personality Bubba the Love Sponge claimed that Hogan was gravely ill and that loved ones had been called to say their goodbyes. At the time, Hogan’s representative denied the claims, stating the former wrestler was in stable condition.
