Conner Floyd is out as Chance Chancellor on “The Young and the Restless.” This week, the actor officially ended his run as one of Genoa City’s best detectives after four years.
In an Instagram post, Floyd bids goodbye to his beloved character. The actor shared a montage video from his last day on the show.
“It’s been real GC. What a ride,” Floyd wrote. “I have truly been blessed to call myself a citizen of Genoa City.”

The actor also took the time to thank everyone who’s been part of his journey as Chance. “The Young and the Restless” star continued:
“To share the stage with so many talented and hard working actors, creatives and crew members. This is without a doubt a special place. I’m grateful to have been a part of such an iconic piece of art that has lasted through the decades and that has such a stellar, die hard fan base. Thank you for accepting me.”
Floyd, who debuted as Chance in 2021, admits his character will always have a special place in his heart.
“Chance will always have a close place in my heart,” he added. “He’s taught me a lot and I’ll miss him dearly. It’s been an absolute honor to represent the Chancellor legacy. Detective Chancellor, over and out.”
‘The Young & the Restless’ Stars Send Heartfelt Farewell
Floyd’s co-stars flooded the comments section with touching messages and heartfelt farewells. His on-screen ex-wife, Mel Ordway (Abby Newman), wrote, “You’re a rockstar… so excited for your next chapter!”
Michelle Stafford, who plays Phyllis Summers, also commented, “We love you SOOOO much!! You are a JOY!!! So sad to not see you on set… but…. You are gonna kill on days!!”
Courtney Hope (Sally Spectra) wrote, “You will be missed,” while Jason Thompson (Billy Abbott) chimed in, “It’s been a pleasure, homie. Get it!!”
Lauralee Bell (Christine Blair) shared, “Loved every cop/lawyer scene, we hung on to each other for rooting for you to get your line, then I’ll get mine. Thank goodness we’ll see each other around the soap hood and excited for what you’re doing next!”
Meanwhile, Billy Flynn (Cane Ashby) humorously wrote, “It was an honor to tenderly hold you while you passed on. You’re the man!”
Floyd’s time on “The Young and the Restless” may be over, but fans will still get to see him on another soap. Last month, it was confirmed that the actor is set to join “Days of Our Lives” as Chad DiMera.
According to PEOPLE, Floyd began taping for “DOOL” on Monday, June 23. Expect to see his debut as Chad on April 21, 2026.
