‘General Hospital’ Spoilers for Aug. 20: Maxie Is Alive, But Is She Okay?

The latest “General Hospital” spoiler clip is out, and there is plenty to dig into. Lucas and Liz may have saved Maxie’s life, but she’s not waking up. Emma and Gio are still on a mission, Stella may be in real trouble, and Sonny corners ADA Turner.

Is Maxie Really Okay?

On yesterday’s episode of GH, we watched both Lucas and Liz successfully fight to save Maxie’s life. Today’s spoiler clip opens with Felicia and Cody standing with Mac, who is struggling to understand why Maxie’s heart would have just failed out of the blue. She was supposedly in perfect health. It then jumps to Lucas shaking his head, saying that Maxie should have woken up by now.

Next, we move to the Metro Court pool, where Gio tells Emma that he isn’t flinching either. They had previously had a plan that involved Gio breaking into Dalton’s lab to investigate, while Emma attended one of the professor’s lectures. Anna suspected that her granddaughter was up to something and made sure that the lecture was cancelled. It’ll take more than her running interference to stop these two from taking action.

Drew Expects to Win

Drew seems to honestly believe that Sonny will bend to his demands to keep his son, Michael, out of jail. While Drew wants the piers and Sonny to run out of Port Charles, the most important thing is that Willow gets her kids back. He seems to believe that she will take him back if he can return her children to her. It’s likely a pipe dream at best, and we see Martin asking Drew how he intends to do something in today’s clip.

In the next frame, Lulu is seen very seriously asking someone what they aren’t saying. We last saw her holding vigil at GH, waiting for Maxie to wake up. Is Lucas about to deliver bad news about her condition?

Is Justine Building a Case Against Michael?

After Stella met with the New York state officers after being accused of insurance fraud, we now see her talking to Alexis, who appears to tell her that what she has done is the definition of fraud. Could Stella have done something illegal while trying to help Martin with his medical bills?

The last scene in the latest GH spoiler clip features Sonny yelling at ADA Turner, demanding to know whether or not she is going after Michael. These two just shared a personal pizza party, and Justine was hiding in the next room when Drew showed up, making extortionate demands. Whose side is she really on?
