‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers for Aug. 19: The Truth Is Revealed

According to the latest spoilers, today will be action-packed on “Days of Our Lives.” Johnny’s trial is winding down, and as he begins his closing statements, the truth will be revealed. Will EJ remember who shot him, or does someone else speak up? Also, Marlena and Julie connect, and Belle and EJ clash again. Will he be able to win her over again, or are they finished for good?

Johnny’s Trial Ends With a Shocker

It’s going to be a pretty explosive day in Salem. Belle swore that she wants nothing more to do with EJ, but circumstances are making that pretty tricky. He is Johnny’s former attorney and also the victim in Belle’s case. Plus, he is her former love and wants her back. They will clash today, but can he say or do anything to get Belle back?

Johnny will take the stand today to be cross-examined by his aunt, Belle. He has fired EJ as his attorney, and now Johnny is representing himself. How will he handle coming up against a legal powerhouse like Belle?

The District Attorney also cross-examines Chanel, Johnny’s wife. Will Chanel make a misstep? Or will she be firm in her insistence that neither she nor her husband had set out to hurt EJ? Johnny has vowed to protect Chanel, but she wants his attention to be solely on clearing his name. Will they be able to beat these charges?

Johnny had requested that EJ leave the courtroom after he fired him, but of course, his father isn’t listening. Will he be grateful for EJ’s presence, or is there another confrontation on the way?

Johnny has to deliver a closing statement. Will he be able to persuade the jury to believe that he is innocent?

Marlena and Julie Share a Moment

Marlena brings Rachel to Foster’s bookstore to get a new book. As they are checking out, they run into Julie. The longtime friends support each other and commiserate over difficult family issues. Once outside, Marlena gets Rachel settled with her book and takes an important phone call. Is it an update on Johnny’s court case? Marlena has used hypnotherapy to help unlock EJ’s memories. Does he now remember who shot him?
