‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers for Aug. 4: Homecoming, Jealousy, and a Trial Twist

“Days of Our Lives” has plenty of pivotal moments in store for fans this week! The new teaser clip is out, and it shows a twist in Johnny’s trial, jealousy between Sarah and Xander, and conversations about Stefano. Sami also makes a brief return to grieve the loss of John Black with her mother, Marlena.

EJ Complicates Things During Johnny’s Trial

This week’s promo clip begins in the courtroom, with the judge demanding “order” during Johnny’s trial. Will he be found innocent or guilty in the case of the attempted murder of EJ? We are getting closer to finding out. His father, EJ, is also his attorney and decides to toss out a grenade of his own against District Attorney Belle Black.

“Your honor, Ms. Black has a major conflict of interest,” EJ is heard saying as a scene of him kissing Belle rolls on the promo. “This is absurd,” a furious Belle says while EJ then demands, “I call for an immediate mistrial.” Johnny looks none too happy with his father’s courtroom antics.

Later in the Days teaser clip, we jump back to the courtroom, as Johnny’s mother-in-law, the mayor, Paulina, says from the stand. “Johnny said his father got what he deserved.” Everyone in the courtroom immediately feels the weight of that sentence.

Marlena’s and Sami Reunite

A serious conversation is going down at the DiMeras. Tony and Anna are staring at a portrait of Stefano, while she tells him, “She claims your father’s alive.” Susan is the woman that Anna is referring to, and she looks upset when Tony laughs. Whether Stefano is still alive or not, his presence is still being felt in Salem quite a bit lately.

In the next scene, Brady and Sarah enter the Bistro to find Gabi kissing Xander. “You can spend time doing whatever you want. So can I,” says a furious Sarah before grabbing Brady for a kiss. Her reaction then causes Xander to have a jealous response of his own.

Next, we move to Marlena’s townhouse, where she is focused on work files when she realizes that someone else is in the room. She realizes it is Sami, who then turns around and walks towards her. “Oh, Mom, I’ve missed you so much,” Sami says while giving her mother a huge hug.
