Over the course of “RuPaul’s Drag Race” history, 17 drag artists have proved that they had the charisma, uniqueness, nerve and talent to be named “America’s Next Drag Superstar,” but few have been more successful than Season 5 winner, Jinkx Monsoon.
From humble beginnings as an odd-ball underdog on Season 5 to becoming the first “Drag Race” queen to snatch two crowns on “All Stars 7,” Jinkx has taken the world by storm with her singing, acting and comedy performances.
Since her time on “Drag Race” the Seattle-raised queen has succeeded both on screen, as a guest star on “Doctor Who,” and on stage, landing roles in Broadway productions of “Chicago,” “Little Shop of Horrors” and, most recently, “Pirates! The Penzance Musical.”
Now, she’s been honored, for unapologetically representing the LGBTQ+ community in mainstream media, with the 2025 Logo Legend award.
Established by Logo and awarded every Pride month, the Logo Legend Award highlights the work of a “true trailblazer” in LGBTQ+ media. The award is accompanied by a spotlight in Logo’s Shorty Award-winning “Logo Legend” docu-series.
‘Drag Race’ Legends Honor Jinkx’s Reality TV Career
The episode in Jinkx’s honor, uploaded to YouTube on June 17, features the likes of “Drag Race” alum BenDeLaCreme, activist Alok, and comedian Chris Klemens as they gathered to honor Jinkx’s legacy and impact on LGBTQ+ pop culture. Together the guests looked back on Monsoon’s illustrious career against a witchy backdrop, referencing the queen’s magical roots.
“Jinkx Monsoon is a legend because she is extremely talented while also being fully herself,” said Jinkx’ “Drag Race” co-star BenDeLaCreme in the video. The duo, who both started drag in Seattle, have collaborated endlessly since their time on the reality competition, namely on their self-produced stage show “The Jinkx & DeLa Holiday Show,” which was later filmed and uploaded for streaming on Apple TV+.

At one point in the video, Jinkx tears up as she listens to a pre-recorded message from longtime “Drag Race” judge Michelle Visage as she says, “My Jinkx, my darling, congratulations to you…You are a legend because of your resilience. I’ve known you for many, many years since you started on Season 5 of ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race.’ You were just a little baby from Seattle who wasn’t really sure if she fit in. And to be honest – you didn’t. And that’s what really made you stand out.”
Visage continued: “I’ve not seen many people do the things you’ve done. And the best part is Jinkxy, you’ve only just begun.”
Neil Patrick Harris Honors Jinkx’s Broadway Career
A following message from Broadway legend Neil Patrick Harris similarly praised Jinkx’s stage career.
“Listen, wherever you go, it’s like the circus has come to town,” joked Harris. “And you are the main attraction in the center ring, baby. And not just because of spectacle, but because of your raw talent.”

In 2023, Jinkx made her Broadway debut as “Mama” Morton in “Chicago,” but she has since returned to her stage roots with as Audrey in an Off-Broadway production of “Little Shop of Horrors,” and, more recently, as Ruth in the Broadway revival of “Pirates! The Penzance Musical.”
“You are remarkable. You are exquisite. You’re a trailblazer. You are a Logo Legend,” added Harris.
Kathryn Hahn Invites Jinkx to Join her Coven in the Future
Finally, Jinkx received one last ‘witchy’ video message before her guests called an end to their seance, this time from “Agatha All Along” star Kathryn Hahn.
Known for originating the role of Agatha Harkness in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Hahn introduced herself in the video as “Perhaps television’s second most favorite chaotic witch.”

“The first witch is this year’s 2025 Logo Legend recipient Jinkx Monsoon,” Hahn added. “Jinkx, you are a legend because, number one; your style, your hair, your lips, your face, your clothes, your confidence…Number two; you’re so freaking talented. Broadway, music, music videos, comedy…you are blowing my mind and you’re hilarious, which is the way to my heart.”
Hahn concluded her message by expressing her interest in collaborating with Jinkx in the future.
“I cannot wait for our paths to cross. I think we’re divined to,” finished Hahn, adding, “I can’t wait to see what you can do next.”
