Khloé Kardashian Gets Real About Her Cheating Exes & Family Knowing Before Her

When it comes to her dating history, Khloé Kardashian will be the first to tell you that hers is messy. Her ex-husband, Lamar Odom, had a drug addiction and was a philanderer. Then, she had multiple cheating scandals with the father of her children, Tristan Thompson. Her family even knew about the infidelities before she did.

On Alex Cooper’s Call Me Daddy podcast, Kardashian got into some of the sordid details regarding her former relationships. When talking about Odom, she recalled that one point her mom, Kris Jenner, “knew things before I did and had to tell me.”

Kim Kardashian found out about Thompson’s cheating during the filming of Keeping Up With the Kardashians. “I think she was about to sit down for Keeping Up interviews, and it happened while she was in the interview chair,” she remembered.

Despite her anger and awareness that others knew she was being betrayed before she did, she admits she’s grateful it wasn’t from someone she didn’t know. “I would rather be a family member than a stranger.”

She Recalls Finding Her Ex-Husband at a Motel Downtown

At one point, Kardashian and Cooper began to discuss the lengths they would go to get intel on boyfriends they didn’t trust. “We were married, he was doing his thing, and he went down to some motel in downtown LA,” she told Cooper. After asking the front desk attendant if they’d seen him, she went to Odom’s room.

“I saw in the window that him and this girl, they were either naked or she was in lingerie, something like that,” Khloé recalled. “I knocked on the door, they answered it for some reason, and I just started going ballistic.”

The next day, Kardashian went to a birthday party for Kourtney Kardashian’s daughter, Penelope. “It was a cowboy party, and my knuckles were all bloody and gross,” she said. “And I just had bandanas wrapped around [her hand], I was on theme. I acted as if nothing ever happened, and I don’t think I ever said a thing.”

Looking back on her relationship with Thompson was difficult for Kardashian. She admitted that being hormonal and seeing him interact with their daughter made her push aside her feelings and give him another chance. “If I didn’t have a baby, I never would’ve stayed with Tristan,” she said. At the same time, she doesn’t have regrets because if she hadn’t, she wouldn’t have Tatum.

“I think the worst part of that experience was how much I let down my younger sisters,” Khloé said about getting back with him. “I remember they were like, ‘He’s going to do this again, don’t stay with him.’ I don’t know exactly what was said, but I just remember the disappointment in them.”

“They would never say that to me, and they’ve never said that to me. But I’ve always felt how much I’ve disappointed them by staying and doing that again.”

In retrospect, she knows that something was wrong, but she just didn’t listen to her gut. “Oh, that’s what that feeling was of never feeling safe with him again,” she realizes now. “That I just, my body sort of knew, a woman’s intuition, this isn’t the right fit for you.”
