As host Jeffrey Dean Morgan teases, “things are going to get really, really sticky,” per Decider. Yep, we’re expecting twists, betrayals, and a reveal that’ll have everyone screaming at their screens. Who will mark the correct spot? Stick around… we’re tracking every move until that final “X” is revealed.
WARNING: This post contains spoilers for “Destination X” Season 1, Episode 10: “The Final X” and was updated live as the finale aired.
One Last Look Before the Chaos
The finale episode kicks off with a quick rewind through the season: every fakeout, breakdown, and wild guess crammed into one last dramatic montage. We’re talking location jumps, mission highlights, and all the bus drama that got us here. It’s a solid reminder of just how off-the-rails this ride has been…
Now the final three are rolling into London, thinking they’ve got one last shot to nail it. Buckle up.
European Trivia?
Before diving into the day’s mind games, the finalists sit down for a fancy lunch service surrounded by towering columns and dramatic vibes. But don’t get too comfortable… it’s a calm-before-the-storm situation. Their final challenges are already waiting.
Jeffrey welcomes them to Greenwich at The Old Royal Naval College; and naturally, he leans hard into the metaphors. Their journey’s almost over, and someone’s about to run out of it.
Oh, and in a true “Destination X” move, everyone who’s been eliminated gets immortalized in a series of moody, classic-style paintings; complete with the exact spot they were kicked off the bus. It’s shady. It’s classy. It’s perfect.
Then, Jeffrey reveals the next mission: a head-to-head trivia challenge testing what they actually remember about the countries they’ve visited. Each question allows them to step forward themselves or move someone else back.

One Player is Eliminated
No blindfolds this time; just straight-up questions about geography, culture, history, and those sneaky little details they were supposed to be clocking all season long.
Rick just revealed he’s been in an alliance with Peter and JaNa since they came on the bus!
As the clock runs out, it’s Biggy and Peter neck and neck at the bottom; and Rick? He’s already safe, moving forward in the finale with that smug “I’m good” energy. One final tiebreaker question will decide who joins him.
No choices. No multiple guess. The answer closest to the correct number moves forward. One of them’s about to be out. No pressure, right?
Eliminated: Biggy
The Final Destination
With the top two locked in, Jeffrey reappears… but he’s not alone. Two men dressed in all black suits step out behind him, each carrying a sleek black briefcase stamped with the “Destination X” logo. One of them is completely empty. The other? Packed with $250,000.
The next day, it’s just Rick and Peter left standing. Both are blindfolded and strapped with those special goggles that “Destination X” loves to make a thing about. When the goggles finally come off (bam!) they’re standing right on top of The London Eye.
Jeffrey didn’t just drop them on the iconic Ferris wheel overlooking the city for the views… he turned the whole city into one massive game board. Think riddles, cryptic clues, and a map that might as well be a treasure hunt from a spy movie. Each landmark holds a piece of the puzzle, and Rick and Peter have to crack the code if they want any shot at the win.
It’s a race against time (and against each other) to track down every clue, connect the dots, and get one step closer to where that final “X” really belongs.

“Where in the X Am I?”
Rick and Peter both nail it, solving all three riddles perfectly and gathering every clue. They each get exactly 1 minute and 30 seconds on the clock to decipher the clues. Now, it’s onto the final “map room” (which Jeffrey is bringing to them), where they’ll each pick the spot to plant their final “X.”
This is it: the last chance to put all that brainpower and instinct to the test before the winner is decided.
With their final guesses locked in, Rick and Peter strap the goggles back on. They’re whisked away to the spots they each picked on the map.
As they’re en route, we get quick flashbacks of their entire journeys… the wins, the losses, the moments that got them this far. It’s a reminder that only one can walk away with the prize.
Back in London, Jeffrey drops the ultimate bomb: only one of them is actually at “Destination X.” The other? At a decoy location, and out of the running for that quarter-million.
The tension is thick. The winner is just moments from being revealed.
And the winner is…
The moment we’ve all been waiting for. Rick and Peter each open their briefcases, hearts pounding. And yep: it’s Rick who’s holding the cash. He nailed the spot, Big Ben, walking away with a quarter of a million dollars and all the bragging rights that come with it.

Whether it was skill, luck, or a little bit of both, Rick played the final game perfectly. Peter gave it his all, choosing The Tower of London, but came up just short.
After the briefcase reveal, Peter gets real. He talks about how much this win means to Rick and his family; and admits he wouldn’t have even made it this far without him. Respect and gratitude, no drama, just straight-up heart.
Meanwhile, Rick calls his wife to share the news. You can hear the emotion through the phone… tears, laughter, relief. It’s raw, real, and exactly the kind of moment that makes this game worth watching.
Jeffrey reveals clues (i.e. all the clocks and time references) to the final “Destination X” have been scattered in episodes all throughout the season!
That’s A Wrap on Season 1
From wild detours to crazy mind games (we see you Jeffrey), “Destination X” delivered a finale that kept us guessing until the last second. Whether you predicted the winner or got completely duped, one thing’s for sure: this show knows how to play the long game.
Here’s hoping that bus rolls out again for a new season; because we’re definitely not done guessing.
