Bob the Drag Queen Reveals if She’d Ever Return to ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race’

Bob the Drag Queen, who won the eighth season of the popular reality drag queen competition series “RuPaul’s Drag Race” in 2016, revealed that she has no interest in returning to the show for an ‘All Stars’ appearance. Fans had recently speculated that Bob might appear on a second ‘All Winners’ season of the show, with the first having aired in 2022.

Bob Says ‘I’m Good’ Concerning Potential ‘Drag Race’ Return

After an early elimination on Season 3 of “The Traitors,” fans of Bob the Drag Queen are eager to see the drag queen-comedian back on their TVs, particularly hoping that the queen might return for an appearance on an ‘All Winners’ season of “Drag Race.” The first ‘All Winners’ season, which aired in 2022, saw Season 5 winner Jinkx Monsoon become the first “Drag Race” queen to win the Emmy Award winning series twice.

However, during an appearance on the “Boyfriend Material” podcast hosted by “Too Hot to Handle” star Harry Jowsey, Bob revealed that she wasn’t likely to return to the “Drag Race” world anytime soon, saying, “I think I’m good. I won already.”

Bob ‘snatched’ the crown – and the $100,000 grand prize – on the eighth season of “Drag Race” in 2016. The queen beat out fellow finalists Naomi Smalls and Kim Chi to earn her spot in the “Drag Race” winners circle, which is due to receive its latest member as the show’s 17th season prepares to crown its winner on April 18, 2025.

“Going back to ‘All Stars’ is, no shade, but that’s for losers,” Bob told Jowsey, arguing that the spin-off series, designed to feature returning contestants, is ideal for queens who didn’t win the competition the first time around.

“Go back to [‘All Stars’] when you lose,” Bob added. “I won.”

Bob Reveals She Wasn’t Invited to Compete on First ‘All Winners’ Season

The queen, who recently published her first novel, “Harriet Tubman: Live in Concert,” similarly responded to rumors that she hadn’t been invited to participate in the original ‘All Winners’ season. “All Stars 7: All Winners” debuted in 2022, featuring eight former “Drag Race” winners, including Season 3 winner Raja, “All Stars 4” winners Monet X Change and Trinity the Tuck, and the late “RuPaul’s Drag Race UK” Series 1 winner, The Vivienne.

Jowsey argued that the show’s ratings would have been “crazy” if Bob had gotten the call to compete, but the queen confirmed that the show’s production company, World of Wonder, never reached out.

“In their defence, I was busy and probably would’ve said no anyway, but it is true that I wasn’t invited,” Bob revealed.

While fans will be disappointed to hear that Bob has no plans to return to “Drag Race” at the moment, the queen has plenty of other recent and ongoing projects to enjoy until she inevitably makes her next television appearance. These projects include her recent novel publication, her ongoing podcast “Sibling Rivalry” with fellow “Drag Race” winner, Monet X Change, and her historic appearance on Madonna’s Celebrations World Tour.

Bob the Drag Queen joins a growing list of “Drag Race” winners who have expressed that they likely wouldn’t return for an ‘All Winners’ appearance. This list currently includes “All Stars 2” winner Alaska, “All Stars 3” winner Trixie Mattel, and Season 7 winner Violet Chachki, who told Gay Times in 2022, “I used to say that I would love to go back, but I don’t think so anymore. It’s just not for me. I finally feel like I’m at a place where I can sort of branch out and do other things and work on other projects.”
