Teddi Mellencamp Bravely Reveals New Health Scare Amid Cancer Battle

“The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” alum Teddi Mellencamp is opening up about a concerning new development in her cancer battle. During a recent episode of her podcast “Two Ts In A Pod,” she revealed that doctors had found another abnormal spot on her skin.

“Yesterday I went to go get a skin check and I had an abnormal spot,” Mellencamp told guest Dolores Catania. “And so they removed it, they’re sending it in to get checked.”

Mellencamp went on to explain that there were reasons for her to be optimistic about the new finding. “The good news for me, what I’m telling myself means it’s okay, is it’s in a new spot,” she shared. “All of my original melanomas were on my back and this new spot is on my stomach.”

Mellencamp Took the Opportunity to Give Lifesaving Advice

Mellencamp shared her health update along with potentially lifesaving advice for her listeners. She began by saying, “This is a reminder that even if you have lung cancer, brain cancer, whatever, you still need to continue to get your skin checks.”

She went on to say, “I just wanted to remind you guys, because I hadn’t gone in about 6 months for a particular skin check.” “RHONJ'” star Catania was surprised by Mellencamp’s news and agreed that getting regular skin cancer screenings is important.

“Go get your skin checks even if you’re in treatment for something else,” Mellencamp continued. “There’s specialty doctors that do specialty things.”

She concluded by sharing her gratitude that the new spot had been caught early. “I’m really glad I went yesterday because now we’re on top of it and it’s gonna alleviate some stress,” she explained.

Mellencamp Is Remaining Brave as Her Health Battle Takes a Toll

On August 21, Mellencamp shared a video to her Instagram story that featured her lying down and wearing a paper gown. “At this point I feel like I live in doctor’s offices,” she said. After heaving a big sigh, she said, “Here we go.”

Mellencamp went on to reiterate her earlier advice, telling viewers, “Go get your checks everyone. For all the things, all of the appointments. It’s worth it.”

The “RHOBH” star was initially diagnosed with melanoma in 2022 and this past April she shared the distressing news that her cancer had spread to her brain and her lungs. Mellencamp has a stage 4 cancer diagnosis, but she is doing her best to retain normalcy for her family during this time.

She also shared via Instagram story some adorable pics and videos of her daughter Dove getting ready for her first day of kindergarten. Mellencamp and her family celebrated her son Cruz’s 11th birthday over the weekend and appeared to be having a great time.
