‘RHOC’ Star Tamra Judge Gives Update on Daughter Sophia: ‘Just Trying to Figure It Out’

After first appearing in “The Real Housewives of Orange County” in season 5, Tamra Judge’s daughter, Sophia Barney, made her return in season 18.

Judge was seen encouraging Sophia to move out and spread her wings, and it looks like the 18-year-old just might do that.

“She has a boyfriend now and talks about maybe possibly moving to New York one day. You know, she’s trying to figure it out,” Judge told Bravo on August 18.

The reality star continued, “She’s doing her general [education] at community college, and then she’s moving out. You’ll see this season. Is she gonna go to music school? Is she gonna go to fashion school? Just trying to figure it out.”

Judge Wants Sophia to Move Across the Country

Sophia is currently enrolled in a community college, but after her two years are up, Judge is hopeful for a big move.

“I was just talking to her because she really likes New York. She’s like, ‘God, everybody is so fun. And I’m like, ‘Maybe you should go to school here after you do your general ed.’ So I would like to see that,” Judge told Bravo on August 15, 2024.

At the time, Sophia shared, “I produce music and I sing and I do a lot of electronic type of music and some guitar even. I have a band camp.”

Sophia Shares Interest in Starring On Another Hit Bravo Show

Sophia moving to New York City would provide her the perfect opportunity to star in “Next Gen NYC,” and she isn’t averse to it.

During an August 6 appearance alongside Judge on “The Viall Files,” the teen was asked if she would star in the hit Bravo show, to which she answered, “Possibly … We’re in talks about possibly moving to New York,” Sophia said.

Judge interjected, “She wants to go to music school … That’s one of the choices. She’s doing general ed right now, just a community [school], and then she’s going to transfer to a music school in New York.”

“And the fact that she has a cute boyfriend that wants to move to New York, too,” Judge continued.

“We’ve been talking about moving to New York [since] before that. That’s just the cherry on top. It would be awesome to bring him and have someone there that I know and trust and care about,” Sophia said.

Despite being interested in “Next Gen NYC,” Sophia admitted that she didn’t watch the show. “I don’t watch TV,” she laughed.
