Meet the Women Bringing the Drama to London
Panthea Parker, an Iranian-born socialite, says she’s “always been destined for stardom.” Now a mother of four, she recalls spending the 1990s in Mayfair’s exclusive clubs and once splurging £140,000 at Harrods after discovering her first husband’s infidelity. These days, she favors members’ club Oswald’s and claims her cupboards are “filled with Dior, Cavalli, Balmain” but she can “still wear Zara and feel good.”
Juliet Angus, a former fashion publicist and alumna of “Ladies of London,” made a name for herself in Los Angeles nightlife before settling in Notting Hill with her husband and two children. Known for elaborate dinner parties, Angus says, “I throw some of the best parties in London,” often featuring chefs from Nobu and floral installations to match.
Nessie Welschinger, a London-born entrepreneur, blends family life in Chelsea with running the Chelsea Cake Company, which has served clients from Hollywood stars to royal families. Dubbed the group’s peacemaker, she jokes, “I take how I treat my three-year-old, my six-year-old and my ten-year-old — I look at these women, I’m like, I shall apply the same method.”
Amanda Cronin, a former model turned skincare entrepreneur, exudes high-society flair. She calls herself the cast’s “queen bee” and sees the show as both a platform for her Amanda Caroline skincare line and a possible dating opportunity.
Karen Loderick Peace, a veteran of “The Real Housewives of Jersey,” splits her time between five homes, including a six-story Belgravia residence. She embraces her Caribbean roots, saying, “We exude glamour.”
Juliet Mayhew, an Australian-born actress and interior designer, brings theatrical energy and a family full of Shakespearean names. Her advice from her children for filming the show: “Be yourself… Don’t let people’s toxicity get to you.”
