RHOBH Star Wants Former Cast Member to Return

Kyle Richards would like to see a former cast member return to “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.”

During a November 2024 appearance on “Watch What Happens Live” filmed during Bravo Fan Fest in Miami, the veteran Real Housewives star was asked who she would like to see return to the cast of the reality show she has starred in since 2010.

“I think I would bring… you know who I’ve been thinking a lot about lately is Eileen [Davidson],” Richards said. “I love Eileen.”

Davidson appeared in three seasons of RHOBH as a full-time cast member from 2014 and 2017. The soap star announced her exit ahead of season 8 due to her workload.

“After a lot of careful thought, I’ve decided because of my crazy schedules at ‘The Young and The Restless,’ as well as ‘Days of Our Lives,’ it’s best for me and my family if I step away from being a Housewife for now,” she told E! News in a statement at the time. “But you never know, I might be popping in from time to time just to see what the ladies are up to!”

Following Richards’ comment about her potential return to RHOBH, Davidson told The Daily Mail, “That is so kind. I love Kyle, and it’s nice to be missed.”

Richards previously said she’d like to see her close friend Teddi Mellencamp return to RHOBH, but she did not mention her on WWHL.

In July 2022, Richards told Daily Mail Australia she would “love” to have Mellencamp back on the show. “Teddi is an incredible person and an incredible friend, and I think she is actually a great Housewife,” Richards said at the time. “I think if she came back, she’d be more comfortable just being more herself and she’d be amazing. I would give anything for that because I had so much fun with her on the show and I love being with her.”

In November 2024, Mellencamp announced she was divorcing her husband Edwin Arroyave amid rumors that she had an affair with her horse trainer, according to Us Weekly.

When the subject of Mellencamp was brought up during Bravo Fan Fest, there were notable boos from the audience.  “It doesn’t seem like the crowd is that enthusiastic,” host Andy Cohen said. “I don’t know why she has become such a villain in the audience’s perspective. She seems to be a truth-teller and she’s very smart, I think.”

There Are No Plans to Change the RHOBH Cast

At Bravo Fan Fest, Cohen noted there were no plans to bring Mellencamp back to RHOBH two years after she was let go. “We just started [the 14th season of] Beverly Hills, so, we’re not thinking about casting for next season right now,” he said.

As for Davidson, a source for the show told The Daily Mail something similar. “Season fourteen only just started airing, so Bravo isn’t even looking at casting right now,” an insider told the outlet. “But the door is certainly always open when it comes to bringing back old cast members, especially when it comes to someone like Eileen. She was great on the show and great to work with.”
