Brynn Whitfield Makes Unexpected Comment About Her Ex

Brynn Whitfield namedropped her ex while talking about her journey to have a child.

On the December 3, 2024, episode of “Watch What Happens Live,” the 38-year-old “Real Housewives of New York City” star was asked to give an update on her plans for having children, and she brought up her former fiancée Gideon Lang-Laddie.

She also mentioned that he hangs out with Mauricio Umansky, the estranged husband of “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star Kyle Richards.

Brynn Whitfield Gave an Update on Her Baby Journey & Fans Were Confused

During her WWHL guest spot, Whitfield was asked if there was any movement on the “baby front” after she talked about wanting kids on RHONY.

“Those discussions are on ice,” Whitfield replied to host Andy Cohen. “The eggs are on ice, froze my eggs,” she added. “So then everyone was telling me ‘You need to do embryos’ because it’s more feasible and you know…”

The Bravo star then added an odd disclaimer. “Gideon works with Mauricio at The Agency and they’re all over the place, those boys,” she laughed.

Interestingly, Richards’ sister Kathy Hilton was also a guest on “Watch What Happens Live.”

Fans reacted to Whitfield’s mention of Umansky in the comment section of a clip posted to Instagram.

“I don’t get where Gideon working for the Agency with Mo is a part of her embryo journey🤨,” one commenter wrote.

“What does any of that – who he works with – have to do with fertilizing her eggs for embryos? 🤔,” another wanted to know.

“What😮!?! did she just imply mo and gidden or whatever stay hoing around? In front of Kathy!? WHAT,” another fan asked.

Brynn Asked Gideon to Have a Baby With Her

As seen in her first season of RHONY, Whitfield dated Lang-Laddie for five years after meeting him on the dating app Tinder. After accepting a proposal from the real estate guru, Whitfield realized she wasn’t ready to get married and she broke things off with him.

Despite their split, Whitfield broached the subject of having a baby with her ex. According to BravoTV.com, during Season 15, Episode 8, Whitfield asked Lang-Laddie how he’d feel about making an embryo with her frozen eggs. He was not opposed to the suggestion.

“I love the idea. Hand on heart, love the idea,” he said, adding that Whitfield would make “an incredible mother.” “I’d love to be a father,” he added. “Obviously, it begs the question of co-parenting.”

In a confessional, Whitfield noted that she would like to have a child before she turns 40.

On WWHL, Whitfield was asked if she could see herself long-term with Lang-Laddie.  “The jury’s out,” she replied.
