This is true for Malik Taylor, also known as The Unpopular Party, who tragically passed away on August 20. Now, tributes are pouring in from social media users around the world.
According to India Times, Taylor’s fraternity, Alpha Kappa Psi- Zeta Phi, confirmed the sad news of his passing on Facebook. They wrote, “It is with heavy hearts that we share our beloved Brother, Malik Taylor, has gone to ‘Audit Eternal’. To know him was to know he was a light to everyone—always bringing laughter, joy, and a warm smile that brightened every room he entered.”
The post continued, “Brother Taylor embodied the values of brotherhood, unity, and compassion. His ability to uplift others, share kindness, and spread joy will forever remain in our memories. Though your time with us was far too short, you were a good and faithful Brother, and the “Great Auditor” will reward you for your everlasting work.”
His fraternity brothers then said, “Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends, and all who loved him. Rest in peace, Malik Taylor, Zeta Phi Chapter Spring 2017. You will be deeply missed, but your spirit will continue to inspire us.🕊️”
Social Media Users are Paying Tribute to Taylor
Taylor posted about a wealth of topics on TikTok, YouTube, and other platforms. Because of this, many are mourning his life. One user on X wrote, “My heart sank seeing this. I enjoyed so much of his content; this is so saddening. Deepest condolences to his loved ones and family. Rest in power, Malik Taylor.”
Someone else said, “Not to be all parasocial, but Malik Taylor’s death is really making me sad today… I was just watching his YouTube video last night, cracking up & opened TikTok today & saw he passed in a car accident. He just moved to a new city, ready for a fresh start. My heart hurts.”
Another well-known creator who posts under the name Now That’s Nick said, “This breaks my heart like none other. Malik was truly such a light with so much greatness ahead of him. Still cannot believe it. My prayers & condolences go out to his family & loved ones. Rest in Eternal Peace, Malik.”
He Leaves Behind a Massive Social Media Legacy
Taylor had been making social media content for several years. However, it was 2023 when he left his teaching career to pursue a career as a content creator full-time. Since that time, he had amassed over 250,000 followers on TikTok. Taylor also gained more than 15,000 followers on Instagram. Additionally, he had more than 94,000 followers on Instagram.
As noted in one of the social media tributes, Taylor had recently moved to Charlotte, North Carolina. He will be missed.
