The Princess of Wales Shares Moving Mother’s Day Tribute

Catherine, Princess of Wales, shared a Mother’s Day tribute to nature a year after the public attention on her cancer battle.

“Over the past year, nature has been our sanctuary. This Mother’s Day, let us celebrate Mother Nature and recognise how our bond with the natural world can help not only nurture our inner selves, but remind us too of the role we play within the rich tapestry of life. C,” she wrote on Instagram.

Catherine shared a video showing different scenes from nature. Mother’s Day in the UK is in March.

The Princess of Wales also was seen in public on St. Patrick’s Day and in February during a Welsh tour.

“Happy St Patrick’s Day! ☘️ Great to be back to join the Irish Guards for their annual St Patrick’s Day parade here at Wellington Barracks. Proud to be your Colonel, and celebrate 125 years of the regiment with you today,” she wrote then.

In February, she toured Wales with William and wrote with a video, “A great afternoon spent in Pontypridd, enjoying Welsh culture and hospitality and witnessing the power of strong community.”

They also visited a community garden, writing, “Visiting Meadow Street Community Garden, it’s clear how much this green space means. A place of healing, connection, and community. Despite devastating floods before Christmas, dedicated volunteers worked tirelessly to revive the site. By mid-January, it was thriving again. Nature restores—and so do communities.”

On Mother’s Day last year, the princess faced criticism after observers spotted photoshop errors in a photo she posted on social media.

“Like many amateur photographers, I do occasionally experiment with editing. I wanted to express my apologies for any confusion the family photograph we shared yesterday caused. I hope everyone celebrating had a very happy Mother’s Day. C,” the Princess of Wales wrote on X at that time.

That came amidst her cancer battle. She has not revealed a specific diagnosis or prognosis, but she has been increasingly seen in public since that time. According to The New York Post, the former Kate Middleton announced in September of 2024 that she is cancer-free. She has been seen more frequently in public since that time.

King Charles III is also battling cancer and was recently briefly hospitalized after a setback relating to his cancer treatment.
