Taylor Swift Reveals Text Messages With Brittany Mahomes

As Taylor Swift watched her boyfriend Travis Kelce‘s Kansas City Chiefs face off against the Buffalo Bills in the AFC Championship, she turned to Brittany Mahomes. The Grammy-winning artist shared how Brittany, married to Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, became her confidant during the nail-biting lead-up to the game.

“I just did not know what to do,” Swift confessed to Travis’ mother, Donna Kelce, in a candid post-game moment caught on video and shared to X on Jan. 27. “I would just text Mahomes and be like, ‘Tell me it’s going to be OK.'”

Even Pop Superstars Need a Shoulder to Lean On

Despite being a global superstar accustomed to high-pressure situations, Swift admitted that the intense emotions surrounding the AFC Championship were almost overwhelming. Her gratitude for Mahome’s calming presence was palpable as she reflected on the support she received.

“Oh my god, you kept me so calm the last couple weeks,” Swift said to Mahomes on the field.

The “Cruel Summer” singer’s nerves weren’t unwarranted. With the Chiefs’ victory securing their spot in the 2025 Super Bowl, the stakes couldn’t have been higher. Even so, Swift’s heart raced throughout the game. At one point, she joked about the intensity, saying, “My heart was in my throat. I was like, ‘I need to get medevacked out of here. This is crazy.'”

From the Super Bowl to the Grammys

As the Chiefs celebrated their victory, Swift reunited with Kelce, sharing a sweet kiss to mark the occasion.

For Travis, having Swift by his side has been a source of strength and encouragement. During a Jan. 15 appearance on The Stephen A. Smith Show, he praised her unwavering support.

“She’s fully encouraging me to enjoy playing this game,” Kelce noted. “She loves coming to Arrowhead and coming to the games and cheering for me, so I got all the support in the world to keep chasing these dreams.”

As the Kansas City Chiefs prepare to face the Philadelphia Eagles in the Super Bowl on Feb. 9, Swift’s big night in her career is coming up at The Grammy’s on Sunday, February 2nd. Her album, The Tortured Poet’s Department is nominated for six Grammy awards.
