Selena Gomez can’t help but to gush over her fiancé Benny Blanco! On his 37th birthday (March 8), Gomez took to Instagram to share several candid photos of her and Blanco.
“I’m not sure what I did to deserve you but damn am I glad you were born.. happy birthday baby ♥️,” Gomez wrote via Instagram, to which Blanco replied, “I love u wifey.”
Gomez’s “Emilia Pérez” co-star Zoe Saldana, who won her first Oscar at the 2025 Academy Awards on March 2, left a sweet comment under Gomez’s post. “May the universe continue to bless you both always,” she wrote.

Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco met each other all the way back 2015, according to InStyle. Gomez recruited Blanco, who’s a music producer, to work on her “Revival” album, which spawned three Top 10 hits on the Billboard Hot 100 chart: “Good for You” featuring A$AP Rocky, “Same Old Love,” and “Hands to Myself.” They’ve collaborated several times since then, including Gomez’s 2023 song “Single Soon.” The lovebirds debuted their romance in December 2023 via Instagram.
“Our first text, when were asking each other out on a date,” Blanco said during a November 19, 2024 live stream with Kai Cenat, according to BuzzFeed. “She asked me out. It was crazy, it was crazy. She literally asked me out. We were just talking and then she was like, ‘Oh, you want to get dinner?’ And like, I went to dinner and I had no idea…”
He added, “We were just talking and she was like, ‘Oh, let’s go get dinner tomorrow,’ and I was like, ‘Oh, I’m going to this thing with my friends. Why don’t you come hang out with me first, then we’ll go link for dinner.’ So, we just went and got a drink first, and I didn’t even realize we were on a date!”

Engagement rumors started flying as soon as Gomez was seen wearing a ring on her left ring finger in August 2024. Gomez and Blanco officially announced they were engaged on Dec. 11, 2024, according to People.

While there aren’t any details about the big day, Gomez told Vanity Fair in a 2024 interview that she and Blanco don’t feel pressure to move quickly.
“We always make sure we’re protecting what we have, but there’s no rules,” she said. I want him to always be himself. I always want to be myself.”
