Things are about to get a little more dramatic ahead of the mid-season finale of Rizzoli & Isles.

In tonight’s episode, titled “Face Value,” Jane (Angie Harmon) and Dr. Maura (Sasha Alexander) find themselves trying to solve a case that revolves around a witness who suffers from facial-recognition blindness. Add into the mix that the victim was stabbed during a massive trampling and, in other words, it’s a particularly difficult case.

The end of the preview also teases a secret “worth killing for,” with a masked man pulling Jane to the ground and the two struggling with each other. Rizzoli & Isles executive producer Jan Nash had told TVGuide.com that viewers should expect show twists and turns ahead of the midseason final, saying, “It’s an idea we had last year where somebody from the team is in deadly peril and we’ll come back and see how we save them.”
