Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes have given the Kansas City Chiefs a high-end boost before the new NFL season kicks off — and they’re dangling an even bigger reward if the team wins it all in February. The $1 million in luxury gifts, ranging from Rolex watches to Louis Vuitton backpacks and fine Italian wine, comes as the superstar duo prepare to launch their next business venture, 1587 Prime, a high-end steakhouse set to open later this year in downtown Kansas City
Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce Go All Out Before Season Opener
After falling to the Philadelphia Eagles in last season’s Super Bowl in New Orleans, the Chiefs are ready to reclaim the title. Kelce, now 35 and potentially facing his final year in the league, teamed up with Mahomes to fire up the roster ahead of their season opener against the Los Angeles Chargers on September 5.
According to The U.S. Sun, every player and staff member received a luxury package worth $17,000, including Rolex watches, Louis Vuitton gear, and fine Italian wine—with the total bill coming to an eye-popping $1 million.
“They’ve gone big again because of the importance of this season,” a source told the outlet, adding that if the Chiefs capture their fourth Super Bowl in five years, it might be enough for Kelce to retire.
The gifts included 40 Rolex Air-King watches at $7,750 each, 40 Rolex Explorer models costing $318,000 total, 80 Louis Vuitton backpacks valued at $3,500 each, $96,000 worth of designer pocket bags, and $272,000 in luxury luggage. The package also featured bottles of Giuseppe Mascarello Monprivato Barolo wine, retailing for $339 each.
“It’s a great incentive for the team,” the insider said. “They want to bounce back after falling short last year — and this shows how much Travis and Patrick care about them.”
A Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl Win Could Mean a European Vacation
If the Chiefs hoist the Lombardi Trophy on February 8 in Santa Clara, Mahomes and Kelce plan to take the entire team on an all-expenses-paid trip to Europe. The duo are reportedly eyeing Ibiza and Sardinia as potential destinations, with team owners open to letting them use the team plane.
Kelce—who, as The U.S. Sun previously reported, is house-hunting with girlfriend Taylor Swift in Lake Como—is known for his love of Italian culture, adding another personal touch to the incentive.
Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce’s Other Business Venture, 1587 Prime, Set to Open
Beyond the gifts and Super Bowl incentives, Kelce and Mahomes are also gearing up to open their new restaurant, 1587 Prime, at the Loews Kansas City Hotel later this year. While the full menu hasn’t been revealed, a new Instagram video offered a glimpse at some of the dishes:
- A5 Carpaccio (Wagyu beef, pickled mushrooms, pine nuts, umami aioli, shaved black truffle)
- Tuna Tartare (truffle ponzu, avocado, chili oil, lime air, airy rice cracker)
- Tajima Wagyu Beef (whiskey barrel-aged soy, triple inferno salt)
- A chopped salad, 33 Burger, a shrimp entrée, and a steak flight
Mahomes has said he wants the steakhouse to be “accessible to everyone” while still offering world-class dining. In the preview video, both stars were seen sampling some of the dishes—but prices remain under wraps.
