Sajak is Back on Wheel of Fortune

The wait is over for die-hard “Wheel of Fortune” fans- Pat Sajak is back!

Celebrity Wheel of Fortune,” premieres Wednesday, April 30 and that colorful wheel will spin once again for the iconic host.

The 78-year-old is coming out of retirement to resume hosting duties in what the show is billing as his “final spin.”

Though technically, Sajak never really left. Even though he handed the reins to current host Ryan Seacrest, Pat still holds the official title of consultant.

But try telling that to fans, or his longtime co-host and letter-turner extraordinaire, Vanna White.

The pair worked together for 41-years before Pat hung up his hosting duties, announcing his retirement in 2023.

Vanna stayed on turning letters for new host Ryan Seacrest, with a contract that runs through 2026.


Anticipation is High for Pat Sajak’s Return

The “Wheel of Fortune” Instagram page put up a post Tuesday, April 29 in anticipation of Pat’s return the next day. The post shows a series of pictures from “Celebrity Wheel of Fortune” with the caption, “A shiny new photo carousel to mark the shiny new episode of @celebritywheeloffortune premiering TOMORROW!!”

And Sajak fans were here for it.

One commented, “A fine group of celeb contestants but Pat is the celeb I’m looking forward to seeing the most. The LEGEND is BACK!!!”

Another wrote, “Oh how ive missed PAT!!! Eeeeek”

Many commenters just put up two words, “can’t wait!”


What to Expect This Season on ‘Celebrity Wheel of Fortune’

This season of “Celebrity Wheel of Fortune” features some familiar faces vying for a chance to earn $1 million for their charity of choice.

According to “Deadline,” Josh Gad, Tiffany Haddish, Regina Hall, Ellie Kemper, Justin Long, Katharine McPhee, Oscar Nuñez, Randall Park, Andrew Rannells, Sam Richardson, Matt Walsh, Rainn Wilson and Joe Manganiello will be among those giving that big wheel a spin.

In an Instagram post, actor Joe Manganiello explained that he’s playing for a charity not only close to his heart, but close to his home. Any winnings Manganiello scores with his spins will go to the UPMC Children’s Hospital Foundation of Pittsburgh, where the actor is from.

Actress and comedian Tiffany Haddish, who grew up in foster care, is playing for the charity she created, called the “She Ready Foundation.” Haddish says she’s fulfilling a promise she made when she was 13 to help foster kids feel like they matter.
