“Stranger Things” star Millie Bobby Brown and her husband Jake Bongiovi have welcomed their first child together. The couple announced their happy news in a joint Instagram post on August 21. The post reads, “This summer, we welcomed our sweet baby girl through adoption.”
The announcement continues, “We are beyond excited to embark on this beautiful next chapter of parenthood in both peace and privacy.”
The couple concluded the simple post with, “And then there were 3, Love, Millie and Jake Bongiovi.”
Millie Bobby Brown Has Always Wanted to be a Mom
In March, Brown, 21, shared on the “Smartless” podcast that she was excited to become a mother. “Since I was a baby, I told my mom, like, baby dolls. I wanted to be a mom just like the way my mom was to me,” the “Electric State” actor said.
As for her young age, she explained that her parents had been young when they started their family as well. Brown was just 20 and Bongiovi was 22 when they tied the knot in May 2024.
“My mom actually had her first child at 21, and my dad was 19,” Brown revealed. She went on to say that because both she and her husband come from big families, they wanted the same for their own children.
“I’m one of four. He’s one of four,” Brown said. And although she didn’t explicitly give away she and Bongiovi’s plans, she did hint that adoption was something they’d been considering. “For me, I don’t see having your own child, you know, as really any different as in adopting,” she explained.
Brown Planned to Shave Her Head Again After Having Children
During an appearance on Alex Cooper’s “Call Her Daddy” podcast, Brown shared that she loved shaving her head to play Eleven in “Stranger Things” and that she had an idea of when she’d want to do it again.
“I always tell Jake for my first baby, I wanna shave my hair off,” Brown said. “I don’t know. I just feel like it was really liberating. Would suggest it for anyone, any girl.”
It remains to be seen whether the actor will go through with it, but it sounds like she wanted to put all her focus on motherhood and not worry so much about her appearance. “Why deal with my hair?” Brown mused. “I felt like I had that experience as a girl, but I’d like to have that experience as a woman.”
