Meghan Markle’s latest Instagram post is creating a buzz thanks to a certain tiny beekeeper.
The Duchess of Sussex posted a video of herself and her 3-year-old daughter Princess Lilibet dressed head-to-toe in beekeeper outfits, headed for the hives at Meghan and Prince Harry’s Montecito, California home.
In the caption, Meghan writes, “Look at all of that fresh honeycomb! Harvesting honey with my little honey. (Like mother, like daughter; she’s even wearing my gloves) 🐝 🍯”
Lilibet has on colorful rubber boots and walks hand in hand with her mom up to the bee hive. A smoker can be seen putting out smoke to calm the bees, making them less likely to try to sting.
Don’t Expect to See That Honey Available at ‘As Ever’
The Instagram post shows Markle harvesting honeycomb and putting it in a wide-mouthed jar. She then adds freshly gathered honey to the jar. But don’t expect to be able to buy any from Markle’s lifestyle brand “As Ever” any time soon.
The brand sold out of honey – and everything else- less than an hour after it launched on April 2. But the Duchess of Sussex says she’s not restocking just yet.
In her May 27 podcast, “Confessions of a Female Founder,” Meghan revealed that she’s still assessing new avenues for her brand.
In fact, Meghan now says she plans to “step back, gather data from the launch, and figure out exactly what As Ever could be.”
As of now, the plan is fto announce new products for “As Ever” in the first quarter of 2026.
“I want to really focus on the hospitality angle of As Ever. But as we take the learnings, we can understand what the customer’s needs are seasonally,” Meghan told Fast Company.
“My heart is very deeply in my home. Everything comes from being rooted in the love story of your home and garden. And then you can imagine different verticals coming out of that.”
Meghan Talks Fashion and High Heels with Spanx Founder
In her latest podcast, Meghan talked to Spanx founder Sara Blakely. She admitted she’s considering moving in to the fashion industry herself. “Fashion is a category I plan to explore down the line because I find it to be an intriguing space for me,” she told Blakely.
The Duchess already has a ShopMy page, where she posts affiliate links to the outfits and accessories she wears in her social media posts.
The two discussed Blakely pivoting away from Spanx to create her own sneaker high heel hybrid, called Sneex. Blakely explained how painful it was for her to wear high heels. That motivated her to create the sneaker-heels, Meghan chimed in, “I gained 65 pounds with both pregnancies. And you’re in these five-inch pointy-toed stilettos.”
“You have the most enormous bump and your tiny little ankles are bracing themselves in these high heels. But all my weight was in the front,” she recalled. “So you’re just going, how on Earth am I not just tipping, you know, face planting? I was clinging very closely to my husband, like, ‘Please don’t let me fall.’”
