Hollywood’s favorite Barbie doll is back, and she’s swapped her baby pink for something a little more daring. Margot Robbie made her highly anticipated red carpet return on Aug. 20 in Los Angeles, and she is looking STUNNING, to say the least. This marks her first public appearance since giving birth to her son last year with husband and producing partner Tom Ackerley.
The 35-year-old actress, “The Wolf of Wall Street,” stepped out at the Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills to promote her upcoming romantic fantasy “A Big Bold Beautiful Journey” alongside co-star Colin Farrell.

Robbie didn’t just walk the red carpet; she clearly owned it. Dressed in a semi-sheer corset-style Stella McCartney mini dress, the star delivered a modern twist on the classic little black dress. The fitted look, which showcased her signature sculpted hips, highlighted her famously statuesque frame. She kept the accessories minimal but classy, opting for sleek strappy black heels and pin-straight blonde hair.
The “Suicide Squad” alum has always had a soft spot for a knockout mini. As Vogue once pointed out, Robbie has long been a fan of LBDs throughout her press tours, and it seems motherhood hasn’t dulled her style instincts one bit.
Her co-star Farrell, 49, went for understated cool in jeans, a white T-shirt, and a black cardigan. Together, the duo looked every bit the charmingly mismatched pair, which is perfect for a film that’s all about life’s unexpected adventures.
New Mom, New Chapter
Robbie and Ackerley welcomed their first child, a baby boy, in late 2024. The couple, who married in 2016, have kept their son’s name private, and we respect them for that. But Robbie has given several sweet glimpses into her new life as a mom. Back in April, she was spotted swimming in Australia wearing a gold necklace that spelled “mama.”
Despite her new role at home, Robbie hasn’t slowed down in Hollywood. Along with starring in “A Big Bold Beautiful Journey,” she has been working on Emerald Fennell’s upcoming adaptation of “Wuthering Heights.” Both projects are produced through LuckyChap Entertainment, the powerhouse company she co-founded with Ackerley.
Their partnership has always been both romantic and professional. “We were friends for so long,” Robbie told Vogue in 2016. “I was always in love with him, but I thought, ‘Oh, he would never love me back. Don’t make it weird, Margot.’ And then it happened, and I was like, ‘Of course we’re together. This makes so much sense, the way nothing has ever made sense before.’”
What’s Next for Margot Robbie
“A Big Bold Beautiful Journey” follows Sarah (Robbie) and David (Farrell) as two strangers swept into a fantastical adventure, reliving their most meaningful life moments. The film, which also stars “Fleabag’s” Phoebe Waller-Bridge and “Euphoria’s” Jacob Elordi, is set for release Sept. 19.
It’s Robbie’s first starring role since the box office juggernaut “Barbie” in 2023, though she had previously hinted at wanting a break from acting. “I also think everyone’s probably sick of the sight of me for now,” she joked to Deadline. “I should probably disappear from screens for a while.”
Clearly, she couldn’t stay away for long, and fans aren’t complaining one single bit. If her red carpet comeback is any indication, Robbie is stepping into her mom era with the same effortless glam and confidence that made her one of Hollywood’s most magnetic stars.
Whether she’s in Barbie pink or sheer black corsets, Robbie knows how to make an entrance.
