‘Little Women’ Star Pregnant

Saoirse Ronan is reportedly expecting her first child!

Ronan was spotted with her “Slow Horses” actor husband Jack Lowden while out in London, according to May 31 images obtained by the U.K.’s Daily Mail. Both dressed for comfort as the two walked their dog.

Neither Ronan or Lowden have spoken about the pregnancy, as the couple is notoriously private.

The Irish Independent originally broke the news in May, with a source saying the two are “thrilled” to soon become parents.

Ronan & Lowden Met on Set

The four-time Oscar nominee met Lowden while filming the 2018 film “Mary Queen of Scots.” Ronan played the titular role while Lowden played Darnley, Mary’s second husband.

At the time, Lowden praised Ronan while giving an interview with AOL.

“It was remarkable working with Saoirse. The woman is a force of nature on and off-screen, and utterly fearless and a brilliant leader as well,” Lowden said. “For being 24 years old, it’s just constantly amazing to me, not just her work, but how she is on a set is amazing.”

The couple ended up quietly marrying in 2024 after years of dating and reside in London.

The two also collaborated on the 2024 drama “The Outrun.” Lowden served as a producer for the film and had Ronan in mind when it came to the lead.

The “Little Women” actress recalled to The Sunday Times how Lowden told her she needed to take the role. “He handed the book to me, and he said, ‘You have to play this,’” she said.

The 31-year-old also dished on how she loves working with Lowden in a rare statement.

“If you find people that you love and you trust creatively, why would you not want to keep working with them? We have very high expectations for one another,” she told the outlet.

Ronan Previously Spoke About Wanting to Be a Mom

While Ronan doesn’t often address her personal life, she did open up about her desire to be a mother while speaking with British Vogue in October 2024.

“I became successful when I was quite young. So it meant that, actually, by the time I found my partner, I’m now at the stage where if it happened, I would like to have a kid,” she said. “I feel fortunate enough that if I step out of this for a minute, I’m hopefully not giving it up forever. But, yeah, I’ve always wanted that.”
