Lady Gaga opened up about the question she asked her fiancé Michael Polansky on their very first date.
In a March 7 interview with Good Morning America, the pop star revealed, “We’d been talking for like, three weeks on the phone every single day, just getting to know each other. Michael flew to Vegas when I was doing my show to take me on our first date. Before we even sat down, I said, ‘Do you want marriage and kids?’ And he goes, ‘Yeah, I do.”
The “Abracadabra” singer explained, “I think I wanted him to know that I was a family girl.” When asked by host Michael Strahan why Polansky is the right person for her, Lady Gaga said, “He just loves the whole me. I learn a lot from him. He’s so supportive.”
Lady Gaga revealed that Polansky helps her write songs, and she in turn, gives him input for his business. “He’s really creative. He plays guitar. He’s a beautiful musician. We have a really creative relationship.”
Lady Gaga’s Song ‘Blade of Grass’ Was Inspired by Polansky

“I wrote it after Michael proposed to me. The song was about a memory that I had of us standing in the backyard and he said, ‘When I propose to you, what am I supposed to do?'” she told Rolling Stone on March 6.
Lady Gaga continued, “And I said, ‘You can just wrap a blade of grass around my finger in the backyard. And I’ll say yes.’”
When Polansky proposed in April 2024, he did as Lady Gaga requested, and while the Grammy winner has been tight-lipped about her upcoming marriage, she has shared some clues about her wedding day may look like.
Lady Gaga Hinted at a Simple Wedding With Her Fiancé
GettyWhen it comes to her wedding with Polansky, Lady Gaga is keeping the details close to her chest. However, she dropped a hint during an appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” in October 2024.
“We actually talk a lot about just going to a courthouse, just the two of us, and ordering Chinese food,” Lady Gaga laughed. She added, “But knowing me, also, it could become like a circus with unicorns.”
Since her “Jimmy Kimmel Live” interview, Lady Gaga hasn’t shared any more information on her wedding. “I’m desperately trying to keep that so private, but I would say I can promise that it will be the best day of my life,” she told E! News.
A source told ET in August 2024 that Lady Gaga and Polansky had already thrown an engagement party in Malibu.
“They are already thinking about wedding plans and talking about possibly having a destination wedding in Europe. They’d love to get married sooner than later and both want to start a family,” the insider said.
