Without hesitation, the 35-year-old replied, “Read Camp Rock 3,” sparking wide-eyed reactions from his siblings.

Nick put down his glass of water and stared at the camera in surprise, while Kevin let out a nervous laugh. “OK, that’s a pretty good one,” Kevin said. Joe doubled down, insisting, “It’s the truth. It’s literally right here,” before adding, “Sorry, Disney.”

The Jonas Brothers starred in the 2008 Disney Channel Original Movie “Camp Rock” as fictional band Connect 3, with Joe playing Shane Gray, Nick as Nate Gray, and Kevin as Jason Gray. The film followed Shane, a pop star sent to work at the camp to repair his image, whose perspective changes after hearing camper Mitchie Torres (Demi Lovato) sing.

Joe, Nick, Kevin, and Lovato returned for the 2010 sequel “Camp Rock: The Final Jam,” which saw Shane & Mitchie’s on-screen romance grow. Off-screen, Joe and Lovato also dated briefly before parting ways.

A Reunion Worth Singing About

On Aug. 10, the Jonas Brothers and Lovato reunited onstage at the opening night of the JONAS20: Greetings From Your Hometown Tour at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. Fans were treated to a nostalgic medley of “Camp Rock” favorites, including “This Is Me,” “Gotta Find You,” and “Wouldn’t Change a Thing.”

“Thanks for having me @jonasbrothers 🫶,” Lovato captioned a clip from the performance on Instagram.

Lovato Reflects on the Moment

Lovato later opened up about the reunion on the “Chicks in the Office” podcast, revealing that Joe personally invited her just a week before the show. “You’ve been a huge part of our journey and vice versa,” he told her, explaining how meaningful it would be to have her there.

She described the night as “healing” for everyone involved, noting the band took time to connect with her husband, Jordan “Jutes” Lutes, who attended the concert. “I felt so appreciated, and it was really healing for us,” she said. “I loved it… every second of it was so great.”
