WWE icon Hulk Hogan has died at the age of 71. According to TMZ, first responders arrived at his Clearwater, Florida, home early Thursday morning after receiving a call about a suspected cardiac arrest. Born Terry Gene Bollea, Hogan was a larger-than-life figure in professional wrestling for over four decades. He leaves behind his wife, Sky Hogan, his ex-wife, Linda Hogan, and his two children, Brooke and Nick.
While Hogan’s career spanned wrestling, film, and reality TV, many fans are now wondering just how much the “Hulkster” was worth at the time of his death.
Hulk Hogan’s Net Worth in 2025
According to Celebrity Net Worth, Hogan had an estimated net worth of $25 million at the time of his passing. That figure includes decades of earnings from his work in the ring, brand endorsements, Hollywood appearances, and a highly publicized settlement with Gawker.com.
In 2016, Hogan was awarded $140 million in a lawsuit against Gawker over a leaked sex tape, but the settlement was later reduced to approximately $31 million before taxes, according to Sports Illustrated. His net worth also reflects losses from his divorce from Linda Hogan, which cost him 70 percent of the couple’s liquid assets, $3 million in cash, and 40 percent of his business interests.
Despite the financial hits, he was reportedly still earning around $2.5 million annually in recent years.
Inside the WWE Legend’s Career, Business Ventures, and Legacy
Hogan’s career began in the American Wrestling Association (AWA) before he skyrocketed to superstardom in WWE during the 1980s. With signature moves, charisma, and unmatched star power, Hogan became the face of wrestling for a generation. He later joined rival promotion WCW in the 1990s, where he helped turn the tide of the “Monday Night Wars.”
Beyond the ring, Hogan made the jump to Hollywood with roles in films like “No Holds Barred,” “Mr. Nanny,” and “3 Ninjas: High Noon at Mega Mountain.” He also starred in his own VH1 reality series, “Hogan Knows Best,” which aired for four seasons beginning in 2005.
Hogan ventured into business with the launch of Hogan’s Beach Shop in 2012. The brand temporarily distanced itself from him after leaked audio of Hogan using racial slurs surfaced in 2015, but the wrestler later rebranded and reopened retail shops in Clearwater and Orlando. He also launched Hogan’s Hangout, a restaurant and bar that attracted both tourists and wrestling fans.
Throughout his career, Hogan’s endorsement deals included brands like Honey Nut Cheerios, 1-800 LoanMart, and Carma HoldCo. He even briefly promoted his own food product line, Pastamania, during his WCW run.
